On todays Meet the Press, moderator David Gregory seemed surprisingly sympathetic to Rick Santellis epic, on-air denunciation of Pres. Obamas plan that would force responsible homeowners to bail out the others. In contrast, Al Hunt played the part of the predictable liberal to perfection, dismissing Santellis soliloquy as sophomoric. Gregory aired a clip of White House press secretary Robert Gibbs contemptuous comments about Santelli, including the bit in which Gibbs holds up a copy of the presidents plan and sneeringly suggests Santelli print it off and read it.
Gregory indicated he had indeed read the planthen explained why Santelli and so many others feel the way they do . . .

Did I say otherwise somewhere?
I think you are right about the Imus situation ... I have a series mental block v. Gregory. There’s even a restaurant in downtown DC (maybe not there any more now that I think of it) called “Gregory’s” and I just wouldn’t even consider dining there. In fact, I want the Pope to rename the calendar from Gregorian. It’s that series ;)
My pleasure!
I’ve heard of The Great Santelli, but who is Al Hunt and why should I care what he says? /sarcasm
Thanks for watching/reporting, Mark.
(I’m not insinuating you’re a commie)
I didnt say you did. Have a nice day.
Is Rick Santelli going to have a job at CNBC anymore?
Then he disses all who cheered Santelli, and all who feel the same way. Nothing new under the sun.
