>>>> They want to track it via a GPS. <<<<<<
It won’t happen with GPS. Too unwieldy.
See my #37 above.
The requirements for auto retroconvert, system infrastructure, tracking systems, personnel, staffing, taxing agency, etc. are staggering.
There really aren’t enough technical people around to build this kind of a system for the feds, and it would take a decade, minimum, if ever.
Not to mention that it would suck BILLIONS from the economy.
It’ll be odometers, and even that will be a huge logistics problem (aka “expensive resource sucking government farrago”) and cause a great deal of political downside for the Rats.

“reeducation camps” with the Obama Civilian National Force, at the FEMA CAMPS already established. That is why they want the junior high kids involved...remember the video’s.

Don't be too silly with the Biblical Gloom and Doom Apocalyptic nonsense please.
The evils of government have been recognized by all peoples at all times and in all places throughout recorded history.
In the previous century alone we had Hitler, Mao, Ho Chi Minh, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mugabe, Rwanda, and other butchers and their atrocities.
A trial ballooned and stupid mileage tax is not indicative of your “end times”.

That was precisely my angle yesterday. And even if the government did devise a practical method, it would take a decade or more to put into action and start making money.
To: angkor
I believe they will find a way to tie it to your refilling of gas at stations, and a way to read your mileage before filling up. It may take a new type of odometer and technology may already be in works for it. It isn’t going to take place tommorrow, but if they pass the law as, they are planning, they will spare no expense to implement.

You have a husband and a fiance? Do they know about each other?
To: angkor
Just because prophecy is being fulfilled doesn’t make it gloom and doom, just another point on who and what is happening.
Now for an important point here, it is double taxation to be paying a gas tax and a mileage tax at the same time. We need to be concerned that doesn’t happen in other areas, because you can only cut the income pie in so many pieces.

Just one or two practical issues to work out:
a) Retrofit 100 million++ vehicle
b) Plan, fund, build the data collection infrastructure
c) Plan, fund, build the tracking infrastructure
d) Plan, fund, build an “invoicing” and payment receipt backoffice
e) Adjust as needed for lobbying, exceptions, alterations, investigations, prosecutions, etc. when things go askew
f) Find the people to plan, build, and maintain this parallel taxation system

I think it is to eventually control where and how far we can go. Watch them start advocating for installing limiter chips in the GPS system installed by mandate in your vehicle. A voice will warn you "Mr. FReeper you are approaching your mileage of no return for today please turn around and go home."
Or "Mr. FReeper you are approaching a 'No Go Zone' please make a left turn at the next intersection or turn around. Your engine will be shut down if you don't comply."
Or "Mr. FReeper you have listened to conservative radio for one hour we will be switching the station to 'Air America' or the nearest Public Radio Station in two min."

If the proposal is anything like Massachusetts’, they will be placing a GPS system in every car. So they will know your whereabouts every hour of every day; they will be able to give tickets based upon mathematical calculations....

Since I drive 80 miles a day, round trip, to work, that .0025 cents a mile is going to start adding up. I know, it's only $1.00 a week. However, why should I give those effing commie thieves one extra cent, so they can piddle it away on buying more votes, creating more social control programs, extra layers of non responsive, arrogant, and way far from color-blind government? Tell me a guillotine as a reminder doesn't sound better and better.
Remind me again why we aren't supposed to start shooting. The veneer preventing it keeps getting thinner and thinner. Those greedy...

It is becoming obvious there will be a war between socialists and Capitalists. The socialists will not let the capitalists be. They are pushing too hard.

“So what happens if I disconnect my speedometer cable say 11 months a year? I bet it would be a new felony offense. “
They will be putting a GPS installed in your Vehicle. They will know how many miles you drive and exactly where you go.

I Guarantee you that someone would figure out either how to spoof the signal, or leave the GPS at home while driving. What if the tax is collected at the pump and your spoofed GPS unit shows you haven't driven enough to need more gas and the pump is configured to deny you gas unless your GPS unit says you need it.
Think that is unlikely? This is the Obama administration.

Kack's point was about calling good evil and evil good and is entirely correct in linking it to the type of speech to expect in the last days.
Isaiah 5:20 - "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. "
Matthew Henry's commentary on this verse says:
They say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work; this is the same language with that of the scoffers of the last days, who say, Where is the promise of his coming? and therefore it is that, like them, they draw iniquity with cords of vanity, are violent and daring in sin, and walk after their own lusts, 2 Pt. 3:3, 4.- ((1.) They ridicule the prophets, and banter them. It is in scorn that they call God the Holy One of Israel, because the prophets used with great veneration to call him so.
- ((2.) They will not believe the revelation of Gods wrath from heaven against their ungodliness and unrighteousness; unless they see it executed, they will not know it, as if the curse were brutum fulmena mere flash, and all the threatenings of the word bugbears to frighten fools and children.
- (3.) If God should appear against them, as he has threatened, yet they think themselves able to make their part good with him, and provoke him to jealousy, as if they were stronger than he, 1 Co. 10:22. "We have heard his word, but it is all talk; let him hasten his work, we shall shift for ourselves well enough. Note, Those that wilfully persist in sin consider not the power of Gods anger.
3. Who confound and overthrow the distinctions between moral good and evil, who call evil good and moral evil (v. 20), who not only live in the omission of that which is good, but condemn it, argue against it, and, because they will not practise it themselves, run it down in others, and fasten invidious epithets upon itnot only do that which is evil, but justify it, and applaud it, and recommend it to others as safe and good. Note, - (1.) Virtue and piety are good, for they are light and sweet, they are pleasant and right; but sin and wickedness are evil; they are darkness, all the fruit of ignorance and mistake, and will be bitterness in the latter end.
- (2.) Those do a great deal of wrong to God, and religion, and conscience, to their own souls, and to the souls of others, who misrepresent these, and put false colours upon themwho call drunkenness good fellowship, and covetousness good husbandry, and, when they persecute the people of God, think they do him good serviceand, on the other hand, who call seriousness ill-nature, and sober singularity ill-breeding, who say all manner of evil falsely concerning the ways of godliness, and do what they can to form in mens minds prejudices against them, and this in defiance of evidence as plain and convincing as that of sense, by which we distinguish, beyond contradiction, between light and darkness, and between that which to the taste is sweet and that which is bitter.
