The White House is lashing out publicly and personally at a CNBC reporter whose attack on President Barack Obamas anti-foreclosure plan caught fire on the Internet on Thursday.
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs jumped at the chance to go after the CNBC journalist, Rick Santelli, when a question about his bracing critique was asked at Fridays news briefing.
Ive watched Mr. Santelli on cable the past 24 hours or so. Im not entirely sure where Mr. Santelli lives or in what house he lives but the American people are struggling every day to meet their mortgages, stay in their jobs, pay their bills, send their kids to school, Gibbs said. I think we left a few months ago the adage that if it was good for a derivatives trader that it was good for Main Street. I think the verdict is in on that, the press secretary said, poking directly at the cable journalist, who reports from the trading floor at the Chicago Board of Trade.
Gibbs insisted Santelli was misinformed when he said Obamas program would amount to a transfer of money from prudent taxpayers to those who had taken reckless risks.

“...Like the printing press of old, we have to use every tool in our arsenal to get the message out and bypass the Old Media....”
Yep, you are so right!
cept for that dern internet neutrality thing they snuck in the “stimulus”..who knows how that’s going to hurt the communications...
” I think Obama has abandonment issues, severe narcissistic tendencies and perhaps even some hints of anti-social behavior. And, given his penchant for cocaine and cigarettes and even his Blackberry, he clearly has an addictive personality.”
Makes you wonder how we ever elected him following Bill Clinton, who has a somewhat similar background.
Just goes to show you that that you can fool enough of the people all of time...............
he’s bringing his own tea bag...
Obama and the Demo Congressmorons are Socialists who seek to undermine capitalism and freedom.
Santelli’s point is well taken. The public is being asked to pay the mortgages of people who were either irresponsible, or couldn’t pay their mortgage in the first place.
I heard about that too! There are a heck of a lot worse srickers on the back of cars..
Go Joe!
Oh my gosh, well, I can’t blame him for want to ‘see’ the whitehouse, hope they don’t slip something into his ‘tea’ and then brainwash him.
Watched the video, and that guy (Gibbs) is a smart-aleck snot (putting it nicely). His attitude is like one of those corrupted red-neck sheriff characters, like in the movie Walking Tall (1973, Joe Don Baker). Guess he’s a “good fit”, considering he’s part of the corrupt administration.
Great stuff,I think Zero will use the fairness doctrine as a sort of threat to try and keep us in place. Rush pointed out today that it only takes a three man committee to have it placed in force. That’s why our guys in Congress are trying to get a bill through that the commission can not install the fairness doctrine without approval of congress.
I will be surprised if we live through the next ONE year.
If we just stay on him he will destroy himself.IT’s what the dems do best, self destruct.
Rick is right! Screw, the mongrel Obama Hussein.
Yup. People on blood pressures meds is going to skyrocket.
Naked class-warfare.
The reason for the White House lashing out is simple. Santelli struck a nerve and landed a significant political blow to Obama - and we know Obama is all politics all the time. Santelli tapped into a vein that the silent majority has been thinking since this clown was elected, and it kinda “awoke the giant”. That’s the last thing Obama wants, and thus, Santelli has to be neutralized.
Obama is Nixonian.
I bet Obama will have to do something about his "Knowledgeable" ...Press Agent...guess that is Gibbs title...
