Forty thousand people in New York City are paying 50% of the taxes.
And about 30% of the households that file get a credit from the government. The government sends them a check. That's the Earned Income Tax Credit.
That sounds fair...

And if the income starts getting “capped” at $500,000, these fountains of urban wealth dry up.
Toot sweet.

..............I’m sure, but 40,000 people) outta eight million pay half the tax load in the city...............
So, 40,000 “family” taxpayers, out of about 4 million households support 50% of NYC tax revenues. Amazing! That’s even more skewed than the national statistics!
1% pays 50% of the tab, and Zer0 placed a salary cap of $500k on the bankers. NY is so screwed.
But, we’ll bail out the city, we’re going to take care of every other loser!

Forty thousand people in New York City are paying 50% of the taxes ... and he's worried that this state tax increase will force some of them to leave -- and if they do, it will wipe out whatever new revenue is generated by a tax increase. Amazing!

They should leave. ALL of them should leave. Let the totalitarians have NOTHING! I'd encourage every taxpayer in the country to move to California. Let's take this great state from the totalitarians and make it a capitalist Utopia.

Bloomberg is afraid of a brain drain.
Does anyone really NEEEEED to be in NYC in this day and age?
Only the dinosaur media is rerouted through NYC, every other financial or information business is better suited OUTSIDE of NYC and NY state. (and way way far away from California and Michigan)
Just ask an entrepenuer, if you had it to do from scratch in 2009 would you start in NYC? answer: NO WAY!
BTW all those out of work brokers can buy nice forclosed homes dirt cheep.

Folks!
What Rush DIDN’T say, but what I’ll bet he’s thinking, is that BO is NOT stupid, this is EXACTLY what he wants!
Once BO tips the balance of producers to takers, we will be in even deeper doodoo. THAT is what he wants! Why?
He can step in with the Gov and ram more of his commie crap down our throats. He WANTS us in the toilet, he WANTS us on our knees!
