An Oklahoma City police officer wrongly pulled over a man last week and confiscated an anti-President Barack Obama sign the man had on his vehicle.
The officer misinterpreted the sign as threatening, said Capt. Steve McCool, of the Oklahoma City Police Department, and took the sign, which read "Abort Obama, not the unborn."
Chip Harrison said he was driving to work when a police car followed him for several miles and then signaled for him to pull over.
''I pulled over, knowing I hadn't done anything wrong," Harrison said in a recent phone interview.
When the officer asked Harrison if he knew why he had been pulled over, Harrison said he did not.

The television show Law & Order had plenty of not-so-subtle anti-Bush sentiment on it over the years, from scenes shot purposely in front of “STOP BUSH” graffiti to script screeds against his policy acted out the principle characters.
No police ever investigated the script-writers nor the actors. No SS agents ever entered their homes.
It’s a fairly long stretch to infer the term “abort” to imply assasination in this instance instead of ending Zeroman’s term and heinous policies.
If this OK police officer doesn’t have better judgement that this, he shouldn’t be out on patrol or in LE.

Beginning in 1999, the government has entered into a series of single-bid contracts with Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root (KBR) to build detention camps at undisclosed locations within the United States. The government has also contracted with several companies to build thousands of railcars, some reportedly equipped with shackles, ostensibly to transport detainees.
Like it or not our first amendment does give people the right to voice opposition to Obama's Policies. Anyone, including this officer who has a problem with this should pack their bags and move to Cuba where they'd be much more happy.
There is already a tremendous amount of distrust in authority these days. This police officer by his actions has only served to exacerbate things in this regard.
And just for the record, I've seen far worse things directed towards Bush and Reagan.,p>Regards..........
I think that picture alone would make a fantastic bumper sticker.
Any lawyers or police officers here? I would like to hear their take on what is the proper and most effective way to respond to a situation like this. Does the SS have legal power to enter/search/seize that goes beyond that of the police?
No.
Won't that be filing a false report if the SS or any LEO showed up at your door and asked to come in politely and non threatening manner?
If you have a kid about 10-15 years old train them to call 911 crying and saying the bad men with guns are hurting daddy.
Sorry, I've trained my sons and daughters to be clear thinking and level headed not some drama queens
Demand they be arrested for trespassing and press charges.
Gee, if I ask them to leave and they do, do I still press charges?
Post you property with No Trespassing signs following your local guidelines.
I live in a subdivision with homes next to each other with sidewalk linking them all. I hate to tip off my neighbor I'm a paranoia wacko
NEVER EVER let anyone in law enforcement into your house unless they have a warrant.
Only common sense
Probably!
All former service people will.
‘’When I was on my way there, the Secret Service called me and said they weren’t going to ransack my house or anything ... they just wanted to (walk through the house) and make sure I wasn’t a part of any hate groups.”
OK, what specifically is illegal about being part of a hate group? What is the definition of hate groups? I’m somewhat perplexed, but other than that statement, it sounds like the Secret Service was professional and cordial.
I am beginning to think a ‘hate group’ is whatever Eric Holder, Morris Dees and the MSM can convince 50.1% of Americans it is.
We have Islamist enclaves in Virginia, California, Texas, etc. We have the ‘New Black Panthers’ showing up at polling placers in Philadelphia with nightsticks. We have homosexual activists intimidating and threatening businesses and the Mormon church following the Prop 8 vote.
Good thing the SS is on the prowl for ‘hate groups’ led by white guys in Oklahoma with bumper stickers...
