They are going to ram this through without letting the public see it at all.

Have they released the final conference report yet? Do we really know what's in the final version?

Disgusting.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, IF the Republicans had acted this way when they controlled Congress, we would not be in this situation because they would still be in control of Congress.

If the Republicans don't start acting like an true opposition party, the Democrats will be in charge for a very long time.

I wonder how many of THEM have READ it in its entirety to KNOW what’s in it other than what they’ve been told. I think every Senator and Congressman should have to initial the entire bill on EVERY PAGE (just like we do on mortgages) and then post the scanned copies for all constituents to see. I know it’ll never happen - but maybe a seed is sown for the future.

Greta & Newt are discussing this now...she is asking him how many have even read the bill. Greta is not digging Barry at all. She said she finds it arrogant of the WH for their trying to make Barry into Abe Lincoln after only three weeks in office.

The House rules require that all conference reports (which is how the bill will be reported to the floor) be made publicly available for 48 hours before consideration.

The only thing Transparent about this administration is that we can all see the lying crooks in action and no one seems to be able to stop them. They don’t care about the country or the people anymore, if they ever did. They hold all the cards now and half of America put them in that place. This country is run by thieves and their gang name is “Democrat Politicians.” It is getting worse every day and we are only 3 weeks into Obama’s term. I am sick.

Lindsey Graham was just on Greta and he is appalled. he said they added the 200M for STD’s back into the bill. He also said they aren't allowed to see it, it's a disgrace and nothing more than a bill to get politicians elected and make the tax payers pay for it. So basically WE are being held hostage to pay for dems to get reelected. I'm telling you people, this is a coup and there's no other way to look at it. ALL Republican Senators should just walk out. PERIOD!

Is this because Teddy needs to get down to FL and they need his vote before he goes?

No surprise here. I expected they’d do this. No time for review. Bendover and take it.

Dumb O and the Congress are hell bent on totalitarianism. The servant class who will be paying for it don't have the right to read the “S” sandwich is how the D.C. mafia see it.

Do we really know what's in the final version?

No we don't, and neither do most of them---if not all of them.

It's no surprise that the won't reveal what is in it to the public, and neither is it that they will push this through with out even knowing what is in it themselves.

They froze the Republicans out and blame them for not being bi partisan.

Can't the Republicans play these games? They absolutely SUCK at gumming up the works, i.e., using the rules at their disposal.

They should be able to make (call?) a point of order here. Ask the presiding chair if the House Rule yadda, yadda, is in effect. Ask the chair to rule the early vote, prior to the 48 hour rule out of order. Have the Sargent-at-Arms enforce the rule.

I know very, very little about this, but even this little dab would help. Senator Sheets in the Senate can tie the place in knots if he wants to, because he knows what the rules of the place are, and he uses them. Can't our guys just freakin' learn to use the rules in a similar fashion?

The whole entire lot of these guys ain't worth a pot to pi$$ in!

So after reading all the comments, it appears there is no time to call, fax, email if the bill is going to be rushed through. The Republicans can leave so there is no quorum. Or we can set up a tent city in DC in protest. Yikes—anyone have any more ideas?

I happened to catch a few seconds of CNN this afternoon...a Dem Congressman was whining to the host how he was just sick over this bill. I got my hopes up until he said he was so disgusted that there just wasn’t enough money in it—especially for education.

What did any one expect? These guys are even more brazen than the Bush administration in pushing passage of the first of these pork bills.
