The new Vogue cover star is turning her favourite designers into stars - much to the disapproval of fashion's old guard

Although Michelle Obama has admitted - shockingly, considering the context - that she is less interested in clothes than politics and children in her upcoming interview in Vogue, after less than a month in the White House she is already proving to wield greater influence over the fashion world than the industry has known in years.

Their just playing their part.

None of the crap their shoving has any basis in reality, and in 4 years they will forget she even existed.

Normally, clothing like the above would make her a candidate for “What Not to Wear.” Aside from starting out with poor raw materials and an ugly attitude, the woman has NO taste.

Looks like she gets her “fashion sense” by emulating Michael Jackson.

After looking at the thread from last night on her Ford’s Theatre outfit, I decided she was channeling Mamie Eisenhower, Marilyn Monroe and Aunt Esther.

She looks just plain awful.
No class at all.

Odd thing was how it stuck out - she had to be wearing a crinoline underneath and what’s with that?!

She also was still standing like she had a truck parked between her legs...

Every other woman in the pictures I saw of the event had on long evening dresses. Maybe she’ll learn, who knows.

Hey, for years they’ve been trying to convince us that Meryl Streep, Chelsea, and Hitlary are gorgeous. Not sure what their standard of beauty is, but it’s not mine.

I wonder if her stylist is a closet Republican.

I know - that’s what I was thinking when she was at the church on inauguration day - what IS up with that? Cute dresses but not for the First Lady, unless she is at a tea party or ladies casual lunch maybe and it’s actually summertime.

She makes a mark five feet wide on the seat cushions of a couch.

I don’t know ... McCain wore some really ugly stuff during the campaign, a short chartruese jacket comes to mind right off the bat and there was something red that made her look like a fireplug, but most of her clothes are classic and very pretty.
