This may be a topic for our regional FReeper conventions coming up, but how many of you would be interested in forming an official conservative FReeper PAC for raising funds to help replace Dems and RINOs and to get conservatives elected?
Sounds good to me. The first targets: the two Ugly Sisters from Maine and their senile old stepfather from Pennsylvania.

This is why I say NO. I have been known to post incorrectly on Freerepublic. Ok , I make mistakes. Not on purpose. When I write to the admin mod, I NEVER get a reply.

I post something on Freerepublic under Activism, or Announcements hoping it will be viewable in the side bar so fellow freepers can know that another FReeper is fighting the good fight. ONLY TO HAVE IT TAKEN DOWN or out of the side bar in no time.
So, Getting back to the PAC, if FReerepublic moderators do not like you, and you are a Conservative candidate, you will not get any help from FRee republic.

If you are not for all Illegal aliens all the time, You are not welcome and we will do everything in our power to make sure your message does not get out.
I have e-mail other frequent posters, all good conservatives and they feel the same exact way.

Jim, IMO - this one right here might prevent you from getting 100%. I've found that a large percentage of people here at FR oppose abortion (I am one); however this is on the opposite end of the spectrum from individual rights (which is not dictated by others).
p.s. I'm interested in your idea but will wait to know more. I agree in principle to some of the other ideas here about combining our resources with a like-group already in existence so that we make a bigger entity than is currently out there. It will be interesting to see what the final entity looks like.
Oh, IMO, one of the biggest changes we need to make on the Hill is to get rid of most of the lawyers and put in some business people.
Agreed - we need to hit the representatives early and when they are at home.
The FReep this week in D.C. was way too late and too small but all the faxes, emails and calls may have done some good since it appears the Rats are concerned about getting 60 votes today. We did what we could.
We need to get ahead of the 8 ball on gun control, the Fairness Doctrine, and others. The best way is to act now, and when your representative is at home. Get them committed to their constituents before they make back room deals in D.C. As JimRob’s thread says, we need a strong organization to work for and with us.
I’m just wondering if a strong organization already in place couldn’t start working immediately, while a FR PAC needs time to organize and build its self. FR is a good base, but as shown from the latest FReepaThon, cash strapped.

PS - GoE I was one of the greater protests against the anti-American groups that I’ve seen. It had the backing of Rolling Thunder and the mission, Protect the Wall, was dear to everyone’s heart. Thank You for making it.
FREEPAC?
I live in Culpeper County, Virginia. I have a REAL Conservative Republican representing me in the House of Delegates; and, believe it or not (!!), a mostly-conservative/moderate, individual-liberty-loving, Democrat representing me in the State Senate. I have worked with both of these gentlemen in the past on motorcycle and gun-rights issues as well as on their campaigns, and I intend to continue to do so.
My U.S. Congressional Delegation is another matter. While I am almost ready to forgive Congressman Eric Cantor for supporting the first "bail-out", BOTH U.S. Senators from Virginia are in desperate need of replacement. "The Android" (Mark Warner) just got elected. So, lacking an impeachable offense, it'll be 5-1/2 years before I/we can do anything about him.However, senator Jim (The Purveyor of Incestuous, Pedophilic, Homosexual Pornographic "Literature") Webb is up for defeat in less than 4 years. It's probably not too early to start looking for someone to run against his sorry a$$. I'll start giving it some thought.
In the mean-time, please add me to any appropriate "Ping-Lists" related to this and let me know if you need me to actually DO something - other than posting snide comments about RINOs here on FR, which I am MORE than happy to keep doing.
You got THAT right. And I even extend this philosophy to individuals who hire people to build things on their property, mow the grass or ANY other job. Pleae DO NOT drive down to the local "labor" hang-out and hire illegals. Either do the work yourself, hire Americans or hire LEGAL resident aliens.
Anything planned in Texas (Houston area)? I’ve never done this before, but would like to participate.

Thanks for the ping. I was just posting to c_I_c’s ping. Count me in for any MI FR PAC. Definitely worth a BTTT!
Boone Lake is just down the road with all sorts of boat launch sites in the area only a short drive away. North Carolina trout streams are only one hour away, too. The picnic area is a family owned site next to a small spring. What we don’t have down at the picnic area is plumbing ... an honorable ‘outhouse’ but no plumbing or electricity. I do have a generator on my motor home, however. The picnic area features a covered pavillion with seating, and one wall is hinged to lower and make a raised stage; the pavillion floor is four feet off the ground, with steps and also a ramp to access it. The last event held there was a wake for my suddenly deceased beloved aunt Phoebe, last year. The camping and pcinic use is family, a large array of Crouch family members and cousins. It is on my Mother’s property, however, and I have control over it.
All of your points are correct.
So, WHERE do Freepers put their efforts? Why spread ourselves thin?
There are national PACs, I’m told, but it seems like FreeRepublic SHOULD ADOPT A SINGLE EXISTING PAC and point folks to it.
Suggestions? OK, FR powers-that-be... Get To It.
