Cheney warns of new attacks

Former Vice President Dick Cheney warned that there is a “high probability” that terrorists will attempt a catastrophic nuclear or biological attack in coming years, and said he fears the Obama administration’s policies will make it more likely the attempt will succeed.

In an interview Tuesday with Politico, Cheney unyieldingly defended the Bush administration’s support for the Guantanamo Bay prison and coercive interrogation of terrorism suspects.

And he asserted that President Obama will either backtrack on his stated intentions to end those policies or put the country at risk in ways more severe than most Americans — and, he charged, many members of Obama’s own team — understand.

“When we get people who are more concerned about reading the rights to an Al Qaeda terrorist than they are with protecting the United States against people who are absolutely committed to do anything they can to kill Americans, then I worry,” Cheney said.

My brother, a democrat, is furious about the Navy Seal bruhaha. He's a VietNam vet and VERY upset that this has been allowed to get as far as it has. IMHO he's rapidly becoming conservative and was already unhappy about the delay in this administration dealing with support of our troops in Afghanistan.

There is an ever-growing undercurrent in this nation (witness thousands of people at each Sarah Palin book-signing - waiting out in freezing cold weather) that things have deteriorated beyond comprehension in America. Waking up and wondering what this administration has planned to spring upon us next is getting frustration levels way up.

The revulsion and disgust for this Administration and Congress is palpable. Republicans that wish to stay in office better find their gonads fast and start holding news conferences and speaking out on TV, radio, and in the newspapers or they’re going down the toilet with the rest of the RATs.They better start naming names and detailing the treason taking place. Yep. You hit the nail on the head. As long as democrats continue to pursue healthcare that is not wanted by 3/4 of Americans and cap and trade that will surely decimate the US economy.

There seems to be a rash of democrat "retirements" going on. People are talking all over the nation about how they wish they had Bush back. This admininistration appears deadset to obliterate our nation as we know it and not at all intent upon another term of office. How can so many elected democrats be so spiteful of the will of those who elected them? If this continues, it'll be a cold day in hell before another one of them gets elected.
