I carried an M14 in Viet Nam. That's my next acquisition, if I can find one.

I've got a Federal Ordinance M-14S (semi-auto), and I just love it. It's a beater, but it shoots really well. It's got a fiberglass stock, with a big, fat rubber recoil pad on it from the factory - Not the GI steel butt-plate. Shooting it is like a really big, really LOUD .22!
