Pakistan's disgraced nuclear scientist AQ Khan, who has been accused of running a proliferation network, Friday walked out a free man after the Islamabad High Court ended his house arrest.
"These things happen. We should forget and look forward," Khan said after being declared a free man by the court.
Khan told reporters that Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had also been "inside".
"The government had made arrangements and nobody could hurt me. Now also, the government will take care," Khan said.
Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Aslam, while announcing a verdict on several petitions filed against Khan's house arrest, declared him a free citizen and said he was free to move across the country. The allegations against him of nuclear proliferation have not been "substantiated", Geo TV reported.
Due to security reasons, Khan should inform the government about his movements in advance.
The court has directed the government to immediately provide security to Khan, the report said.
Khan is free to express his views, talk to media and carry out research and get treatment from any doctor of his own choice.
A sniper is a terrible thing to waste.
“These things happen. We should forget and look forward,” Khan said after being declared a free man by the court
WTF? Helping rogue nations build nuclear weapons is “these things happen..?”
the timing is very odd
sounds like another new deal by President Soetero’s foreign policy experts
Iran will be among many bidders for the services of the rogue nation nuclear bomb expert

I don't know about most of you folks (although reading your posts might fix that), but both of these things can't both be true.
On one hand, I have The Hindustan Times, which is probably no better than the 4th or 5th best paper in the world, and that's not so good, really. And their story is based on "facts" which everyone knows are subjective anyways.
On the other hand, I have Senator Kerry, who's a Super-Duper guy, really smart, and the rest of the world loves him for it! Plus it's scientifically proven he's the best Senator of all now that Barry and Hill are gone!
Count me in the "Positive Transformation" camp all the way!!!
Well, we’ll see if ‘bombing Pockystan’ was just bloviation.
It would be nice to get this to the 9-11 families meeting with him.
I saw it at this link:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/feb/06/nuclear-pakistan-khan
And don’t forget, he gets protection as well.
Oops sorry, should have known you’d be here light years before me.
Protection?.... Think Ms Butto
Gitmo trials stopped, pulling out of Iraq (in spite of Iraq agreement), breaking the US (like Osama said he would), cutting Star Wars and missle defense (while raising up the Ojugend and National Civilian Force/Canada concept), spreading contraception and abortion (hey, gotta reduce the infidel), his proles meeting with any terror regime they could way before he was elected...
Nothing to see here... move along.
Asbahi, meetings with Qazwini and other undercover imam gatherings. Those millions in screwy ME donations, campaign phone bank in Gaza...
Ooh look, a shiny thing.
Calling Jack Bauer...
