LVR, I do understand where you are coming from. I haven’t completely given up, but we do need to wake people up and fast. Our current leaders are a clear and present danger to this nation, no doubt about it.
Ya know what's worse? I'm sure this has probably happened to you too, when you talk to people who really don't follow current events and you bring this stuff up, they just shake their heads and think you fell off the deep end or have been hitting the bottle.
Not stupid people by any means, just completely oblivious to their surroundings and living there lives like nothing is wrong. Then one day they'll say, "why didn't you warn me"

Actually he has called for the registration of every gun that holds a clip. Registration is but the first step IMO.
LEOs could be tasked with picking these guns up on a moment’s notice. Obama’s team would certainly find a way to make this look to the public like something that had to be done.

I’ve been saying all day today, it’ll be the gun issue that is the straw that breaks the camel’s back. All this social stuff is important, but you take away the bitter clinger’s gun, it’s going to get ugly. Yes, I’m a bitter clinger. Notice bambi hasn’t talked about it? He’s afraid of conservatives (ala - continuation of attacks on Palin, boy are they scared of her) It’s the issue that will ruin him. I say, bring it on. I just bought a new gun (to celebrate the inauguration), and am anxiously awaiting for the weather to get better to try it out.

The ONLY reason I voted for McCain was Palin. My hubby and I went round and round about this. I was not going to vote, etc, all the reasons. I’m almost glad McCain lost. At least all this crap wouldn’t be masked as republican initiatives.
I’m allergic - and I don’t have any desire to alter my mind in that way. Maker’s Mark for me.
