Wait... I thought open dialogue, wearing casual clothes in the Oval Office, refreshing changes, and Hillary’s “Smart Power” as Secretary of State was going to wow the Europeans and the World and we were all going to “give the world a Coke” and sit around singing campfire songs, doing the snoopy dance, and wearing flowers in our hair. This isn’t going to happen?? Oh No!

“we were all going to “give the world a Coke””

Excellent analogy of the current Administration’s Foreign policy.

Wonderful...the only thing in the stimulus worthwhile was buy American.

So when other countries throughout the world start enacting similar policies making it so that our exports cannot be sold, will you still think that this is so worthwhile?

You think China will use our steel in their infrastructure projects? The way the trade laws exist today...I don’t think we would really notice a trade war...what do we trade anymore outside of cars which is not looking good...Why should I stimulate Europe or China by buying their products for my infrastructure work...it takes jobs away from Americans which is the whole point of the bill. Also, a protectionist move is underway in Europe as well as other countries. Read the newspapers and watch the international channels...people in the street protesting any foreign investment...jobs for us...if the US does this they have become the most stupid country in the world.

Me too...Reagan understood the difference between free trade and commerce. He stood up for American business. The worst thing he did was pick George Bush I, a big globalist...he enacted policies that continue to this day that have destroyed our economy.
