I’m actually not a Sea Hawk Fan; and don’t really watch much NFL. My screen name is to help keep people from identifying me; and I live in Texas.

All the calls were perfect - especially the last one in the Super Bowl, which we should have taken a few seconds to review, but we didn’t...

Read the article.

“Too bad the 6th is tarnished in the eyes of nearly everyone outside the state of PA.”

I hate to correct you, but you meant to say the 5th AND 6th are tarnished!

It was not a fumble. His arm was moving forward. The ball went forward at an angle of a pass. and it wasn’t knocked out from behind.
Either way. In the super bowl. The replay booth should have took several minutes to review that one.

Completely agree. His arm pushed the ball forward. It's no different than a horrible pass. They should have reviewed it.

Do you have a hard time reading the posts? Because I already stated that I did read the article! In case you were wondering, I read the article.

I still say, that the video that came across my HDTV showed an incomplete pass. Now what is the truth is the Steelers won. But that doesn’t change the video that showed an incomplete pass.

I mean I also saw video of OBVIOUS roughing the passer which wasn’t called, and an equally OBVIOUS NON-roughing the passer that WAS called. So, maybe it was just my TV and I need to go get a new one.

Later, gotta get back to acting like I am working.

When have you ever seen three personal fouls on one drive? One was legit, one was questionable, and one was absolute Bull Sh!t.

I do have to agree about that... I also think Harrison should've been ejected from the game after his unnecessary roughness call in the end zone.

You read the article?

Your "paraphrasing:"

...we should have taken a few seconds to review, but we didn’t...

The actual article:

The replay assistant in the replay booth saw it was clearly a fumble.

Re-read the article.

“The calls were legit, the Hawks stunk all game...”

Well, you see, you think that these are mutually respective points of view. However some of us who watched the game without a biased view saw the following:

The Seahawks stunk most of the game, and when they didn’t the referee’s made some REALLY bad calls!

Again, we will have to agree to disagree on the call. Obviously you don’t understand taking more time to make the right decision - you must love this stealfromus package of Obama’s! Don’t know where we are going, but we are making great time!

Look, it was an incomplete pass - you don’t fumble the ball forward 12 yards with a wobbly spiral. It does NOT happen. I know, I played QB in Jr. High, High School, the Marine Corps and College.

So, it doesn’t matter what the article says; like I stated, they wouldn’t have changed that call if it was the most obvious incomplete pass in the world!

Again, we will have to agree to disagree on the call.

You will persist in being wrong.

Obviously you don’t understand taking more time to make the right decision.

They made the right decision and did not need more time.

Look, it was an incomplete pass...

Nope. It was a fumble. You do realize, don't you, that stubbornly refusing to face reality does nothing to change reality, right?

So, it doesn’t matter what the article says...

Oh. Nevermind.

Question withdrawn.

The Seahawks stunk all game, and when it appeared they might not have been stinking it turned out their right gaurd was holding or the receiver pushed off. Their receivers had a serious case of the dropsies all game, and poor clock management.

Really the calls everybody whines about were legit. And even if they weren’t, get over it. There are bad calls in every game, including the SB. It’s funny how nobody ever bothers to notice the calls that went against the winning team (like the Hawks clear catch and fumble that probably would have been recovered by a Steeler but instead got called an incomplete pass even though the receiver took three steps after catching the ball). The good teams rise above, the smart fans rise above, and the world keeps on spinning.

The ball squirted out of his hand when it was back then bounced on his forarm when it was moving forward. This imparted the forward momentum that made it look like a pass, but by the time it hit his arm it was already a fumble.

Really, people need to get over it. At the beginning of the second half there was a “maybe a pass/ maybe a fumble” that the ruled in favor of the Cards, at the end there was another that got ruled in favor of the Steelers. Questionable, and down right bad, calls happen that favor both teams. Not that big a deal. If you watch the left side of the Cards o-line you can see Gandy holding at least half a dozen more times than were called on him, frequenty he’s holding the facemask (inclduing two of the times he was called for holding), those are bad non-calls that went against the Steelers, but Steelers fans have learned not to whine because bad calls happen and whining doesn’t fix them.

"It was a fumble. That is a fact. Ten, fifty, a hundred years from now, it will still be a fumble. Historical fact."

That it was ruled a fumble will be a historical fact. People still argue about the "Immaculate Reception" years later, and probably always will, despite the official ruling on the field.

I didn't care who won, and don't care how the play was ruled, it was close enough that it could have gone either way, and I'd say the same thing if it was ruled an attempted pass.

You can look it up. The Steelers won. The man fumbled and Pittsburgh recovered. Facts are facts.

Opinion, and unverified.

"The Steelers won their sixth Super Bowl...fair and square, like it or not!" FACT!
