It was not a fumble. His arm was moving forward. The ball went forward at an angle of a pass. and it wasn’t knocked out from behind.

Either way. In the super bowl. The replay booth should have took several minutes to review that one.

Perhaps you should read the article again. It was a fumble.

well I didn’t see any of the cardinals players dive for the ball so I guess they all thought it was a pass too.

if that had happened to new england, the league would institute the new “I meant to tuck but didn’t quite make it and my arm was moving forward” rule..

The problem of these delayed official reviews is just that, they delay the flow of the game and create doubt in the minds of the fans as to whether the field judges have any autonomy, even the player’s get taken off stride and momentum can swing on a single reversal.

Better to just accept the field decisions and let the game go on.

Perhaps you should read his post, again. He said it was “not” a fumble.

That is what I saw. He did not have control as his arm came forward.

I had no idea the Patriots were in the Superbowl this year. How on earth did I miss that?

He said it was “not” a fumble.

That is why he needed to be corrected.

NOT a fumble??

The replay assistant in the replay booth saw it was clearly a fumble

What part of CLEARLY A FUMBLE makes it NOT a fumble??

Really? Well, did you notice that Larry Fitzgerald's first touchdown catch was an incomplete pass? The nose of the ball hit the ground, and he didn't have posession. He also should have been flagged on Harrison's interception for a touchdown because he didn't come back in bounds immediately after being pushed out. He chased Harrison while out-of-bounds.

And, it WAS a fumble! Haha!

Correct.

A ball doesn’t fly forward 12 feet when it’s fumbled.

Not that the Cards really had a prayer with five seconds left, but they were entitled to one more play.

I saw the ball roll in his hand, but then I saw him regain control as his arm moved forward. Maybe I was seeing what I wanted to see, but that’s what I saw.

They only had one or two more plays anyway, so it would have been a long shot at best.

The Steelers won, that’s for sure. However, the Cardinals deserved to win as much as the Steelers did, and it could have gone either way. What a great game.

You two are rich. The replay was clear...

He had forward motion of his arm, no one contacted the ball to push it loose, the tackle changed the course of the trajectory, it hit the ground before being picked up.

What part of clearly an incomplete pass don’t you and Petronski understand?
