RIYADH (AFP) — President Barack Obama told the Organisation of Islamic Conference that he has full confidence that the United States can work together with the world's largest grouping of Muslims, the OIC said on Sunday.
In a letter to OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihasanoglu, Obama said he would work to improve relations with the group, the Jeddah-based organisation said in a statement.
It did not release the text of the letter.
Obama also thanked the OIC, which represents 1.5 billion Muslims in 57 countries, for its congratulations on the occasion of his inauguration on January 20, the organisation said.

Obama’s “57 states” comment during the campaign was obviously freudian along with his “My muslim faith” comment.
there is no doubt in my mind that he was primed to infiltrate us and destroy us from within knowing full well well that they could never beat us fighting on the battle field
His agenda thus far and his 57 state comment along with his first call to Abbas and his first media address.
