PITTSBURGH STEELERS VS. ARIZONA CARDINALS
6:00PM ET - NBC
Oh, you were quoting Joe. You had me worried for a second.
The victory towel is white...I don’t like that selection.
Aerial shots...looks like contained mayhem in the post game celebrations.
The roughing defender took 2-1/2 steps -- I counted in the replay and that is always a dicey call.
I completely agree about the last play and I am sure the AZ press will have a field day saying "We didn't have a last play!" tomorrow, but lets face it, it was a bazillion to one that a downfield hurl with :05 on the clock would have resulted in a TD.
Thanks for noting there weren't any significant calls one way or the other. There have been people acting like the kicker in "Ace Ventura" running around...
I was depressed enough, thanks.
But it's likely; my Vikes are idiots when it comes to personnel decisions.
Yep. Too bad you see the color of his skin and not the content of his character.
Maybe some day...
Hey, PAMom. How bout dem Stillers? :)
When I heard the Eagles after the title game against the Cards, I thought Reid, the coach, sounded like he was ready to hang it up. McNabb was noncommittal. I’d expect to see McNabb with the Bears if he gets his choice, as he’s from Chicago. Either franchise could use a QB, and although I’m not a McNabb fan, I think Reid’s playcalling and their refusal to go after top offensive talent held him back some.
If not one single person on your offense is unable to rundown a defensive lineman in the 100 Yard Dash, you do not deserve to win the game.
Worried?
Or hopeful?
Go ahead. You can admit it. 0bama's the President now. It's ok.
Congrats to the Steelers, the Rooney family (despite their politics) and their devoted fans.
Actually, they were called the Pirates back in the 30s when they first started. They changed their name to the Steelers after a few years in the league.
My arm is sore...Terrible Towel elbow? How are you....man I hope we get a Rush call in tomorrow.
:)
We’ve got a running commentary going on this. Art Rooney started a team called the Pirates, sold it and bought half interest in the Eagles. Swapped with the guy he sold the Pirates to and returned to Pittsburgh. I’ve got one source that says the Pirates moved to Philadelphia in the swap and the Eagles moved to Pittsburgh and became the Steelers, and another that is unclear on whether the franchises actually moved, or if the owners just swapped franchises.
What a lousy game...The refs were clearly paid off.
Sorry, my husband agrees with you, although he still thinks it’s confusing.
However, from your snippet, it still looks like the Pirates/Steelers never left Pitt, nor Eagles Philly. After all, he sold Steelers (newly named, which further makes me wonder if this was really to cover the “Eagle” name or truly as shown in the HOF, simply a name change that year) in ‘40, then for ‘41 swapped. No hiccup in ownership, in a way, for the playing season (if it was off-season).
So, it looks like 1 could say those teams never moved, and there was just a brief period of ownership change.
It’s Mr Rooney, an Irish Catholic, who saw the color of Obama’s skin rather than the content of his character.
The Steeler’s coach came to a winning team with great asst. coaches.
The Cardinals coach took a team from nowhere to the superbowl in the same time period.
If you are going to call me a racist, get your facts straight. But then you are the one who thinks it’s okay to prefer someone because of the color of his skin.
That said, Mr. Rooney isn’t the only catholic to support Obama.
Pity, isn’t it.
