The roughing the passer call on the Cardinals in the third quarter was abysmal, and Warner's "fumble" was clearly an incomplete pass, but otherwise, it was pretty straight up. Refs didn't cost the Cardinals this game.

The roughing defender took 2-1/2 steps -- I counted in the replay and that is always a dicey call.

I completely agree about the last play and I am sure the AZ press will have a field day saying "We didn't have a last play!" tomorrow, but lets face it, it was a bazillion to one that a downfield hurl with :05 on the clock would have resulted in a TD.

Thanks for noting there weren't any significant calls one way or the other. There have been people acting like the kicker in "Ace Ventura" running around...

For the record, I’m neutral (until Rooney spouted off, now I am anti Steeler for his lifetime).

Im not so sure about your bazillion to one odds had there been one last play. IF they had gone back and ruled it an incomplete pass, not a fumble, then the “unsportsmanlike conduct” penalty against one of the Steelers for taking his helmet off (I believe it was Farrior) would have been enforced. The ball was at midfield, which would have put it on the Pittsburgh 35 for the “final” play. Certainly a makeable throw for any Pro quarterback, and with Fitzgerald’s ability to go up and get a pass, who knows.

Unlikely, yes, but better odds than a normal hail mary pass.
