Kudos to you Michael. Now stand tall and proud. Be strong and push conservative principles. Do not falter and do not shrink from the fight against Obama and the Democrats.

leftoid comment from NYT:
So today, they somehow think putting a Black man at the head of a mess will fix their mess? Really? They never learn.
But ironically that same leftoid would never think that about Obama and the Democrats.
To: utahson
Excellent choice. He WILL lead.

I'm not crying. This went exactly the way I thought it would go. A continuation of the downward spiral of the Republican Party.
By the way, you might want to remember that FR is not a Republican site.
From the homepage:
Free Republic is the premier online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism on the web.

Saying Steele is pro Roe-v--Wade based on that interview is taking it a bit far. He never stated his personal stance, only that he would respect the laws as they were currently written but felt that the issue should have been left up to the states.
What he said is he is "pro state's rights" and "respects the laws that exist until they are changed". I also believe that he is correct, Constitutionally speaking.
All in all, I can respect that.
To: trisham
lol.. maybe they should make it a religion/caucus thread.

“....Republicans and Democrats have moved left significantly over the last 40-50 years”
Nah..Simpler. Repubs/Dems is faux politics...the RealPolitik is Washington/Americans....

No I am not but I can spot a spoiler that wants to turn a congratulation thread into a wake. You can start your own thread to do that.

Initial comments from Steele are not good if this means he's a Northeast pubbie.
To our friends in the Northeast, get ready baby, because its time to turn it on. Were going to do what we always do well, which is win. Were going to win in the Northeast

Register Dem and you can have Bambi as your Chairman.

To quote Michael Steele’s first three words — THIS IS AWESOME! Had two favorites Blackwell and Steele — just wanted one of them to win. A new day has dawned!

137 - Good point you make!
The 3rd Parties should worry about who their chairman is going to be, that is, after they've grown to over a hundred members and elect one! LOL
