Transportation officials in Texas are scrambling to prevent hackers from changing messages on digital road signs after one sign in Austin was altered to read, "Zombies Ahead."
Chris Lippincott, director of media relations for the Texas Department of Transportation, confirmed that a portable traffic sign at Lamar Boulevard and West 15th Street, near the University of Texas at Austin, was hacked into during the early hours of Jan. 19.
"It was clever, kind of cute, but not what it was intended for," said Lippincott, who saw the sign during his morning commute. "Those signs are deployed for a reason to improve traffic conditions, let folks know there's a road closure."
"It's sort of amusing, but not at all helpful," he told FOXNews.com.

Not a bad idea.....
So, my current key board will never be clean again?
They should invent a lap top that has a tray where you place your keyboard, non slip, plugged in, so you can replace them when they get cruddy.
I only want 2%.

OK, so you have as good a grip on the concept as I do.
Which is why my keys are sticking.
Actually, I think the problem was caused by pizza crust crumbs, last night.
:-(
If I keep bashing the keys, I should be able to break the crumbs into dust.....

True, but I am encouraged by the close cooperation between our countries exhibited in that report. Like siblings, we squabble over little things and call each other names, but in the bigger things we’re together. (I hope.)

First, hold your keyboard on edge and tap it on the desk. The turn it upside down and shake it.
If that doesn’t release the ‘cooties’ then just lift up on the offending key. You can use a table knife for leverage but don’t be too rigorous. Once you have the key off, tap the keyboard on the desk and turn it upside down.
I try to do mine once a month, at least.

How do you take the keys off a lap top to clean under them? The problem is not taking them off but in putting them back. In their original place. *\;-)

If the key is sticking because of dirt underneath, could you try cleaning from around the sides of the key with a Q-tip?

They should invent a lap top that has a tray where you place your keyboard, non slip, plugged in, so you can replace them when they get cruddy. Laptop keyboards are generally replaceable as a module. I had to replace one once.

The top person in charge of NORAD on 9/11, was a Canadian. And he did a good job.
Immediately after ordering the scrambling of fighters after Flight 11, NEADS calls Canadian Captain Mike Jellinek at NORADs operations center in Cheyenne Mountain, Colorado. It informs him that the FAA is reporting a hijacking and requesting NORAD support, and asks for NORAD commander-in-chief approval for the scramble. The furniture is not angry, just a bit miffed. Someone said it was stuffy.
