I feel compelled to smell the sour milk. I must do it.
Might as well have a place to vent.
Indeed! Very true words.
FOX a while back said Obama was to leave Blair at 825am...they didnt leave till about 847am. Anyone else catch that?
Perhaps- but did Powell mention how many are NOT re-upping? I know many of my son’s buddies who were waiting to see how the election went- they are due to re-up in Feb. Not ONE of them is staying. These are guys who have been through combat in Iraq and Afghanistan- and would have stayed if McC were elected.
Bringing in new recruits is terrific- keeping seasoned soldiers is crucial.
Karyn LeBlanc, spokeswoman for the D.C. Department of Transportation, says there are lots of excited pedestrians on the streets. She’s urging drivers to watch out for pedestrians.
Glad to hear that! We had daily ‘deprogramming’ sessions with our boys over homework each evening.
Good Lord! When Clinton was in office, you thought he walked on water the way they portrayed him to our kids. *SPIT*
And I thought THOSE years were tough to swallow; we ain’t seen nothin’ yet!
(Well, for a little while, at least. 0bama will fail. They can’t prop him up forever and will eventually destroy this monster of their own making.)
I live 10 miles south of ‘The People’s Republik of Madistan.’
Pray for me, LOL! :)
I can't get the song "American Pie" out of my head...well the theme song from the Jeffersons pops up once and awhile.
Thanks for the reminder. I like CSPAN. They did a great job covering the debates without all the clap-trap. :)
Gee with the econimics times so bad why are all these people not at work....they look like lost souls wandering in purgatory.
New desktop wallpaper for today! :)
I can’t get the Joni Mitchell song “Big Yellow Taxi” out of my mind today.
“Don’t it always seem to go
That you don’t know what you’ve got
Till its gone”
It will be Carter, not just squared but cubed.
It is delicious to think of the epic fail that is just around the corner and how the blessed unhinged will go completely off the track when they realize the emperor has no clothes, but, sadly, it ain’t a movie...we have to live through it too and that tempers my glee. :(
The National Mall east of 14th Street has reached capacity, the U.S. Park Police Department has told D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty’s office.
You mean they’re not all in town to celebrate my birthday? Just for that, I’ll be at work being productive and all...well, sort of.
One wonders when those on crutches start throwing them aside, screaming "I can walk! I can walk!", and the blind start to yell " I can see. He brought me back my sight!".
It has crossed over from being merely humorous, to actually dangerous. I don't think I can watch any more. The female reporters are all about to have a mass orgasm it seems.
I was born in ‘76 and I was grateful that I could remember little about the Carter years. Sadly it appears I’ll get to experience the sequel.
‘These are the days for tempered glee’ BUMP! :)
To me, January 20, 2009 is not the Coronation of His Most Royal Halfrican Highness Emperor Barack Hussein Soetero Obama I, First of His Name. January 20, 2009 is my three-year-old daughter’s first snow day, and this is far more important than the Most Holy Ascension.
Therefore, I will be either on my laptop connected to work and working, while my home desktop hangs out on FR; or I’ll be out in the snow, watching North Carolina grind to a paralyzed halt in three inches of white stuff, and seeing the incomparable joy of a little child discover snow and hot chocolate for the first time.

Sorry, but I can’t watch it. America’s chosen Messiah will just have to do without me worshiping at his feet.
Old Glory is at half mast as my background.
Thanks for the suggestion. My background now has 3 flags flying at half mast with the Capitol in the background.
