President-elect Barack Obama says there can't be any "idle hands" at a time when so many people are enduring hardships.
During a visit to an emergency homeless shelter for teens in the nation's capital, Obama said that given the "crisis" the nation is facing, "everybody's going to have to pitch in." And he said Americans are "ready to do that."

I try to be in service to others, have been for years. Because it tends to be “God based”, I am sure it won’t be the “right type” of piching in.
So BO wants us tax payers to chip in because the sleezy politicians have sold us down the river?
Just not the over 40% that don’t pay taxes...
We’re so screwed! LOL

Alles Amerikaner hoert der Schwarzfuehrer...
He’s right. There won’t be any idle hands. My hands will produce tax dollars and his supporter’s hands will take them.
Sure, it works out so well...
Jimmy Carter: saint or slumlord?
Eight years ago, former President Jimmy Carter joined 10,000 Habitat for Humanity volunteers to build new homes for impoverished families on the Florida coast. It was part of a record-breaking 17-day construction “blitz” complete with celebrity photo-ops. The local Habitat for Humanity chapter later organized bus tours to show off the new showcase neighborhood.
Now, in a development sure to embarrass Nobel Peace Prize laureate Carter and his widely admired charity, a recent investigation by the Times of London revealed that the Fairway Oaks housing development is “better known for cockroaches, mildew and mysterious skin rashes.”
April Charney is a lawyer representing many of the 85 homeowners in Fairway Oaks who are now suing Habitat for Humanity. The charity, she told the Times, failed to tell residents that their new homes were built on a reclaimed garbage dump.
Some residents blame their health problems on the Fairway Oaks location, and their crumbling homes on Habitat for Humanity’s philosophy of using volunteers as construction workers, rather than experienced, licensed professionals. “
Lots of luck with that Mr. BO. I choose who I help and who I don’t. You are on my NO list.

If you’re at all familiar with “Atlas Shrugged,” this sounds more and more like “Directive 10-289,” from that book.
Hmm.. let’s see, what’s it called when you use force to use someone else’s labor for your own ends without compensation or permission?
Oh, yeah, slavery.
I guess “it’s your turn, whitey”.
This “idiot” in chief needs to tell that to his dirtbag friends and constituents in the south side of Chicago. They need to get to work and stop collecting handouts. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh, this is exasperating.
Instead of ‘pitchin in’ 0bama-style how about: doing your f’ing job, not commiting crimes, not sponging of the gov’t, sending your kids to school ready to learn and not looking like gangstas and hos, etc. If everyone lived by this credo America would improve greatly overnight.
No kiddng. I’m actually expecting an attack on the Knights of Columbus by Barack’s DOJ.
Agreed.
I do so of my own choice, for the things I think matter.
I do not need any President to influence that decision. All Presidents encourage this stuff. However Obama is simply building his cult army to go out there and convert more members.
Sheesh doesn’t he realize we already “pitch in” in a myriad of ways!
What a tool!
