HOORAY!
Oh, shut up.
Yes, yes and yes.
He commuted their jail term but not their conviction.......at least its something, I guess. Thanks Pres Bush.....you were way late on this!
BTTT!
The sad part is that these two fine officers are likely bankrupt now
yes, my HOORAY about Ramos and Compeon was quickly replaced by laughter about Ayers.
Absolutely amazing. Truly didn’t think he would do it.
Excellent!!
Scooter next.
As usual, George Bush shows his stripes. He didn’t grant them pardons, which would expunge their unjust prosecution, but instead commutes their sentences. This will release them from prison, but their records will stand as convicted felons, thus injuring them for the rest of their lives. I guess he didn’t want to offend that snake, Fed. Prosecutor Johnny Sutton.
Great!
Now for Scooter Libby....
OK, 1/2 done. He should have pardoned them. That would clear the record. I’m still not impressed with Bush for the last couple of years.
I'll acknowledge it. Bush never lies.
He's just a big fat liberal and he even told us that in 2000. Conservatives were deluded once again.
Someone here on FR had a prayer thread asking that President Bush pardon the guards. Prayers answered as best as President Bush could do under the circumstances.
THANK YOU, MR. PRESIDENT!!! (Bush, not that new guy)
Same here, I don’t believe it, not from Mr Bush, I want to see a realiable source on this.
donna ~ Im shocked and thankful. I thought that cold hearted SOB was going to leave them in prison.
I think a number of posts here about the political consequences of 0bama releasing them as one of his first acts may have filtered up to W....
“Its a sad state of affairs when American citizens must beg for mercy from a President with the powers of a King.”
I am happy for the two agents and their families but I just don’t know what to make of your statement.
...but they can run for the senate, and be the cleanest
Great!
Finally, something AMERICANS can smile about during this ‘RAT era of misery, doom and gloom. Probably the last time we’ll be smiling for at least four years.
