A robbery suspect was shot six times and killed by his intended victim outside an East Atlanta Village bar Wednesday night, police said.
The incident occurred shortly before midnight in the 1200 block of Glenwood Avenue in southeast Atlanta, about two miles from the scene of last weeks high-profile killing of a bar worker near Grant Park.
In the Wednesday incident, a man and woman had just left the Graveyard Tavern and were sitting inside their car waiting for the vehicle to warm up when a man approached with a gun and demanded money, Atlanta police Sgt. Lisa Keyes told WAGA-TV.
At that time, the male inside the vehicle pulled his own weapon and shot [the] suspect six times, Keyes said. The unidentified suspect died at the scene.
Police were treating it as a case of self-defense.
Last week, Grant Park bartender John Henderson was shot and killed during an armed robbery at Standard Food & Spirits on Memorial Drive. His death prompted area residents to voice concern about rising crime.
Cause the 7th round misfired.
“All these posts and not one FReeper commented on how seriously the couples ears would be ringing after six shots inside a closed automobile... Ouch! “
That’s cause FReepers automatically factored it in as they subconciously processed the article. ;)
In many states, this guy would be in deep sh1t if he was packing inside the bar.
Taurus made some a coupla years back, almost bought one just cause I thought of upgrading my model 85ch-38.
