Uber conservative political commentator and author, Ann Coulter, is drumming up controversy among the masses with her new book Guilty: Liberal Victims and Their Assault on America.
The gist of her book? Liberals "playing victim" when she believes them to be the actual "victimizers."
With anything Coulter has her hand in, this latest installment is sure to get tempers flaring, especially among single mothers.
Monday night Coulter appeared on Fox News Channel's Hannity & Colmes.
Tuesday morning Coulter made a controversial appearance on NBC's Today Show (after her originally scheduled appearance was cancelled.)
In both appearances, Coulter's lastest stabs at single motherhood were discussed.
Alan Colmes quoted Coulter's book, "Single motherhood is like a farm team for future criminals and social outcasts."
And finally, "We have a term for youngsters involved, the 'children of divorce,' or as I call them, 'future strippers.'"
Coulter reverted her argument about single motherhood back to what she believes to be our country's recent "hatred" of the institution of marriage and made mention of Hollywood's promotion of single motherhood.

My time bills out at about $400/hour, so I doubt anyone would want to pay me to post anonymously on web boards
I have pointed you out. Sooner or later, the mods are gonna getcha.
For disagreeing with you? I doubt it. AFAIK, Ann Coulter is not some holy idol on FR.
But dont expect me to engage with your drivel.
I'll take that as an admission that you don't really have much to say here, other than insults.
Bingo ! We have a winner !
As I said, I will not engage. DO have a lovely day. Many of your betters breathlessly await your critique, I’m sure.
Some people can’t avoid insults. I don’t happen to agree with you, but a belated welcome anyhow !
Of course you won't. That would require you to actually make some logical arguments. Hit and run posting of snarky comments is so much easier.
‘Established, educated and financially secure preofessional woman becoming single mothers is rarely an issue.’
Unless she’s independently wealthy or retired, she has to work. Which means 8 hours a day or more of daycare, starting at under age 1. Or a nanny. If she’s only going to raise her child 1/3 of the time, I say get a dog instead.
Fatherless children raised by strangers tend to have a whole host of issues.
Thanks. I don’t begrudge people enjoying Ann Coulter’s writings and opinions. I just don’t share the same opinion of her.
The process of attitude change requires that, first, you get the attention of someone. Later, that someone needs to examine the logic underlying the attitude and consider where that attitude fits in their system of logic. To produce attitude change, the new attitude must not be too different than your current attitude and probably should not cnoflict with one’s behaviors so as not to induce cognitive dissonance.
I read lots of academic research articles but I am one of very few people who do. The articles I read cover only a small set of issues because there is not enough of me to read more than that. AC gets peoples’ attention with her strong statements. That may not change attitudes but it does get people to think about their own attitude about a subject. That is the first step.
Just my opinion.
“My friend insisted a gay relationship is no place for kids. He also knew his boyfriend would not make a good father.”
I know a gay man who feels the same way.
He is content with being a good uncle, and says kids need a mom and a dad.
The other strange thing about my friend?
He isn’t sure he was “born” this way.
He thinks relationship with daddy might have something to do with it.
Am I missing something here? How about those who have children just to get AFDC, foodstamps, housing subsidies, etc?
Since you threw it away, you probably missed the fact that it was exactly that - sarcasm.
while i like Ann Coulter because she is a lot of fun to read and read about, i don't think she's that great of a communicator... i have a hard time "listening" to her when she is on television or the radio... i want to tell her, "spit it out!" she's not quick at formulating her thoughts and relaying her ideas with clear words... i've been complaining about this to my husband since the early days of Fox News... i do think she has guts putting herself out there...
Indeed, I threw it away!
“The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them.” -Mark Twain
We were talking about well-off women as single mothers. My contention is that those women are not really causing the problems we see with the poor, uneducated teenage mothers.
The unmarried female lawyer who has a kid is not going on foodstamps or welfare.
This is hyperbole, but the point she makes is valid. Therefore, the liberals will demonize her.
Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.
Yes, it appears I was missing part of the discussion...
Lack of a father, regardless of the income level of the mother, is a recipe for trouble. But perhaps less so in the case of a well educated, involved mother.
Depends on how it is used. It can be devastatingly effective.
That’s all she has! Nothing but sarcasm. A boxer telegraphing his punches will be on the mat in no time.
