RICHMOND, Calif. - Two men and two teens have been arrested on suspicion of gang-raping a woman last month in the San Francisco Bay area while allegedly taunting her for being a lesbian, police said Thursday.

I will not condone another's choice of 'lifestyle', but raping a woman deserves the fullest punishment of our judicial system.

To do less is to become like the enemy we detest in the middle east who tolerate and practice rape openly.

Yes, for some reason being raped as a lesbian is more degrading so we must punish them MORE. A rape is a rape. It doesn't matter if you are a pervert, a lesbian or an normal heterosexual - it's awful.

I think it matters 'what street, what neighborhood'.

There are streets where open drug dealing and prostitution are carried out.

I imagine the public rape of a lesbian probably drew a crowd of onlookers, or those who have learned to 'mind their own business' (or die interfering).

I agree with you.

My guess is this crime had nothing to do with the rainbow sticker on her car and everything to do with these four disgusting pigs were just out looking for a victim, and she just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. That said, I hope they are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. If the hate crime law can be used to lengthen their sentence (assuming they’re indeed guilty), then so be it. I just wish all crimes were recognized as hate crimes.
