Steyn rocks. He is brilliant, and his use of language is superb.
Sorry to hear about Walter’s wife. I am sure she was a great person, he is such a polite and dignified man.
To: knews_hound
thanks for the ping.
Steyn is a must listen, he is almost as quick on the air as he is in his writing...
and he has faith in us Freepers...

Rush is Rush, Steyn is obviously very strong, but don’t discount Jason Lewis. He was great here in Charlotte - very smart and entertaining.

Sorry about GT getting clobbered last night. Oh well. All in all it was a good season for us... beat Miami, FSU, and the 'Dawgs! Next year Johnson will do even better. Kinda perplexing as to how we could beat UGa and then get totally thrashed by LSU.....
Anyway....
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

KEWL!!! I have to work tomorrow. I expect it to be very slow, having Mark Steyn on the radio will make the day much faster

Did you hear Walter Williams on Wed? I did not learn he lost his wife earlier this year until a caller asked what he gave Mrs Williams for Christmas..I remember one year he said he gave her a small shovel for snow removal..it was all a joke but he was so funny and she such a good sport about it..that was sad news to learn..I remember him also getting her some golf shoes, so she wouldn't slip on the ice. I had no idea that Mrs. Williams had passed away a year ago either. I believe that Dr. Williams said that she had passed away on December 29, so that would make the radio show nearly the 1 year anniversary. I was so saddened to hear that. You could really hear the love the man had for his wife when he would joke about the Christmas and birthday gifts he bought for her over the years.
I'll be tuning in to hear Mr. Steyn tomorrow!
Mark

Kinda perplexing as to how we could beat UGa and then get totally thrashed by LSU.....Not too perplexing when you figure LSU had 3 weeks to prepare for the option, Nesbitt played like he had a concussion, and our special teams were determined to lose...
Add in a fake punt on our own 22 with a 4th and 8 where we expect a defensive lineman to make the play and it all adds to disaster.
As a big Tech fan, it will take a while to erase the stench of that game...
