You know, it looks like a double standard? (Media treatment of Sarah Palin vs. Caroline Kennedy)

You know, its funny how all those women pundits who tore a strip off of Sarah Palin because she couldnt define the Bush Doctrine in 25 words or less have, you know, remained silent, you know, about Caroline Kennedy repeating the phrase "you know" 142 times in a short interview with the New York Times you know?
That's right, in an interview with Nicholas Confessore and David M. Halbfinger, which was run in its entirety in the NYTs, Kennedy sounded more like, you know, an '80s valley girl than the privileged daughter of a former U.S. president.
Here's what she said when she was asked why she would make a good senator: "So I think in many ways, you know, we want to have all kinds of different voices, you know, representing us, and I think what I bring to it is, you know, my experience as a mother, as a woman, as a lawyer, you know, I've been an education activist for the last six years here, and, you know, I've written seven books, two on the Constitution, two on American politics."
Her entire interview sounded remarkably like the "I-want-to-solve-world-hunger" answers you hear at Miss Universe pageants when the bubble-headed contestants are asked about their goals in life.
Could it be that the Heather Mallicks of the world only attack women who aspire for high office if they don't have the right pedigree or politics? Kennedy expects to be handed Hillary Clinton's senate seat, like it's a piece of pastry passed down the table at a fancy tea party. Well, you know, like Palin, she's not ready. Having said that, Palin would have made a better Vice President than Kennedy would make as a senator, though that's not necessarily saying much.

I disagree with her about Governor Palin's readiness, but, having said that, she is correct otherwise.

I wouldn't normally make such a shallow, sexist comment -- but if the MSM is going to ooooh and aaaah over Obama and his chiseled pecs and his tremendous athletic prowess, and the glorious stylishness and beauty of Michelle, then I will have no choice but to point out that Obama is nonathletic, Michelle has no style, and Caroline looks like a dog.

That phrase is one of the most insulting phrases in my opinion.
I believe it is short for "you know youre an idiot"

When you just can't take it any more, you have to mouth the truth.
By the way, is your name Mac?

I think being governor of any state beats playing bored housewife for a couple years then deciding to be senator based on gender and name.

I'm glad you corrected yourself re: Shaniqua Babymamma Obama.

Amazing that a foreign newspaper is more objective about American politics than American newspapers.

Sarah has that lean and hungry look. Such woman are dangerous. Caroline has the look of, you know. (She's not getting out of her comfort zone, so she will do what her party bosses tells her to do.)
