It should be noted that all the earthquakes have been intense and concentrated in one area, which happens to be above the magna chamber. The scariest part of this story is the harmonic tremors that scientists have picked up. They are a low level constant rumbling, which usually indicates magna movement.
Magma?

Yeah, but if you have a bad itch, you need to scratch...eventually. I guess eventually is the key.

I guess I won't get too worried until I hear reports of poached fish floating in the lake and bison flambé available for pick up. Basically the same here, although I do have to admit that the fact this earthquake swarm is taking place right under the NW corner of the like where the dome is, is a bit unnerving.

It has been reported and noted by the USGS that an earthquake swarm has been occuring under Lake Yellowstone since December 26th.
The attached webicorder display shows that after the tremor swarm activtiy died down this evening a new pattern of potential classic harmonic tremors has started and continues at the time of this posting. Harmonic tremors could mean lava is now moving under the Yellowstone super volcano.
The USGS has made no updates since these tremors began.
Yellowstone webicorders can be accessed @ http://www.seis.utah.edu/helicorder/heli/yellowstone/index.html

The Lake, Mary Lake, and Mirror Lake Plateau siesmographs looks downright ugly tonight. Almost constant movement for the past 5-6 hours.

It's like Mother Nature's got the mother of all cases of GERD. Okay, who's got the industrial strength Maalox?

I am ignorant about these graphs...do the colors (green, red and black) mean something different?
