Egyptian border guards have opened fire on Palestinians who breached the border to escape Israel's assault on Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
An Egyptian security official said there were at least five breaches along the nine-mile border and hundreds of Palestinian residents were pouring in.
At least 300 Egyptian border guards have been rushed to the area to reseal the border, the official added on condition on anonymity because he was not authorised to speak to the press.
A resident of the Gaza Strip side of the border, Fida Kishta, said that Egyptian border guards opened fire to drive back the Palestinians.

“The 2nd Amendment is for self defense Not to become vigilantes.”
What is the purpose of a Militia?
A group of people familiar with the use of arms and capable of acting in concert for the common defense.
So you think that people acting in concert for the common defense is Vigilantism?
“No free man shall ever be de-barred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain their right to keep and bear arms is as a last resort to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” —Thomas Jefferson
“anyone who disagrees as a liberal weenie.”
If the Bun Fits.
People in general are no different from one another. Did Hamas campaign on promising to attack Israel? Or did they promise to protect them from the evil Joos? Or did they promise them free health-care and jobs repairing and modernizing their infrastructure?
I agree the militant Palestinian becomes a justified target. We just have to distinguish a little here.

I totally agree.
“The strongest reason” Not the Only reason.
No...I was interpreting his post suggesting I act unilaterally, separate from any organized militia.
Of course it calls for a militia.
Excellent bannie. Thanks!

Does Hamas distinguish between Civilians and Military targets?
When the People support a Murderous Government they become part of the Military infrastructure in that their labor and Taxes support the acts of that government.
So called “Peaceful” people thereby become legitimate targets.
Nevertheless it is Not us But the IDF that will make these determinations.
Phew...I am grateful to read your response because for a minute there, I thought I was getting too mean or that my tin foil hat needed adjusting. No reality check required. Thanks.
And King Hussein of Jordan had tens of thousands of these Palestinians killed within Jordans’ borders. I think they refer to it as Black October or September or something like that.
Very appropriate analogy.
It can also be fun pluggin' cans and targets. You can always find extra fun things to do with the very best of tools.
Amen
I am not criticizing the collateral deaths of Palestinian women and children...or seniors.
We were discussing the use of deadly force against Palestinians fleeing into Egypt.
Apples and oranges.
