President-elect Obama stopped by the Marine Corps base in Hawaii Kaneche Bay where servicemen and -women were eating Christmas dinner in Kailua Thursday evening.
"Just wanted to say hi, hey guys," Obama said as he walked into the Anderson dining hall which was decked out in Christmas decorations.
The diners represented seven military unitsMarine and Navysome of whom were joined by their families for Christmas dinner.
As Obama entered the room, it was absent of the regular fanfare of cheering and clapping. The diners were polite, staying seated at their respective tables and waited for the president-elect to come to them to stand up.
I’d sooner see the devil at my Christmas dinner.

Nobody clapped for me at Christmas Dinner, either!
...and the soldiers had so much in common with Obomba.
He isn’t anything but an out of work US Senator till next month.
What, 0 unloved by our military?? Say it ain’t so!
Thank God no one called “attention on deck!” for the not-yet-inaugurated Scumbag-in-Chief.
Cue the Homer Simpson HA HA HA graphic.
What are the chances we get a military coup during the next four years? I’ve never been in the military, but I’m sure these guys aren’t happy about their new commander and thief.
Mine did, I could hear them cheering as I was getting into my car. It brought a tear to my eye........
They can pick out a stinker from a mile out.
DUHHH! Why should they cheer for a CIC who may not even be a citizen?
At least the devil would bring wine. Or dessert.
Every Christmas dinner needs a turkey.
In my experience most troops were apolitical.
The One was too busy chiseling his abs and pecs to meet with troops in Germany. Now he wants a nice photo-op with them.
Hmmmmm ..?? Funny .. the media never mentioned that. They just showed the supposed happy interactions with some military.
THIS IS THE FRAUDULENT REPORTING WE CAN EXPECT FOR THE NEXT 4 YEARS.
And .. always remember .. after Bush was elected the media all but ignored him (after shoving Clinton in our faces ad nauseum). And .. this act by the media prompted people at FreeRepublic.com to start “A Day in the Life of President Bush” .. and that thread is still active today.
It was amazing .. but as soon as the media found out about our “Bush” thread .. they began covering him more extensively. But .. I will say .. the media has always been reluctant to show Bush on TV .. but if Bill Clinton or Obama come into the room - they gush all over the place .. DISGUSTING PEOPLE.
Hey, Barry...58 million of us didn't vote for you. More than that, really, since it was so difficult for deployed people to vote this year, for some reason.
I guess you met some folks from one of those categories.
