They tell us that they did not vote for Obama BUT:
1. They want him to succeed.
2. He seems to be a Centrist.
3. We should not treat him like the Left has treated President Bush
Do we want him to succeed in implementing a socialist agenda and wealth redistribution? NO
Do we want him to succeed in giving the abortionists more power than they ever had? NO
Do we want him to succeed in implementing an appeasement and surrender foreign policy? NO
Do we want him to succeed in appointing the most left wing Supreme Court and federal judges? NO
Is he a Centrist? Only fools believe so. The man is the most left wing person to be elected President. His left wing principles are so deeply rooted in his character that it is an impossibility he is going to change. All his life from childhood till this very moment he has been exposed and has only believed and practiced left wing ideology. Only a fool believes that a 47 years old man who has lived all his life as a left wing liberal is going to suddenly change and becomes a Centrist. Only a fool will fall for some of Obama cabinet picks who do not appear to be left wing lunatics and conclude that Obama is a centrist because of that. Only a fool believes that the left wing socialist limousine liberals who put Obama in power are going to tolerate centrism in the government. They do not have to worry about this issue because Obama will never disappoint them.
We are not going to treat Obama the way the left wing liberals have treated President Bush. We are not going to hate him as a person and we are not going to wish him any personal ill as liberals have done to President Bush since 2000 and will continue to do so even after President Bush has left office. However we are going to work very hard to defeat Obama socialist domestic agenda and his defeatist foreign policy.
Therefore and based on the above, we should start the fight against Obama agenda right here on Free Republic and purge the carefully disguised Obama’s trolls. We already have a 24/7 utterly disgusting Obama propaganda by the liberal media and we do not need more of it on Free Republic. We are a conservative forum and for now at least we still have the freedom to ban people who want to spread Obama propaganda. This will be best and it will help us focus more on our message. I hope that the owner of Free Republic and the admin moderators agree and help us achieve this mission.

Praying for him to receive his reward is, IMO, the first step. For him to acknowledge and surrender to God requires a tremendous amount of realizations first, which in his present position is highly unlikely. But that would be fine too - very good - but if he surrenders to God, we would know because he would publicly admit his wrongdoing and step down from the Presidency.
I’ve thought about your post, Star Traveler, I really did. I read it and thought about it and I respect you for it and I respect your point of view, but I’m sorry, it’s not a point of view I can share.
You can quote the bible till your blue in the face, that will not make me feel submissive to the left wing POS who is now our incoming POTUS.
I will not pray for him — other than pray that he receive his just rewards, as another poster here pointed out — any more than I would pray for an intruder in my home holding a gun to my head and threatening my family.

I am sure that many who post on that thread are sincere freepers but IMO perhaps unrealistic or naive. I don’t want to criticize anyone personally, but wishing him “success” is to me disgusting and shows a terrible lack of vision.

But, you could pray that God restrains his hand in what he might be able to do and protect us conservatives from the damage that could be done. In other words, it’s also praying for Obama if one prays that Obama does the righteous thing, according to God — no matter how improbable it may seem... :-)

Lookie here! When Obomba says he wants to get the economy going, let’s take him at his word, and wish him luck, why not! But, a big butt, we get into the question of how much can a POTUS do to get the economy going. We know a POTUS can get the economy falling, and with Obomba’s neo-marxist ideology that is more likely to occur, but going, any POTUS? Tax cuts have been the only proven way to stimilate the economy from the White House, as far as I know, and what do I kinow.

Didn’t matter, McCain got the electorate here in KY. The fact is you and other keepers of FR, can’t accept that republicans lost the presidency. I don’t believe it’s possible to hate, loathe and despise someone and pray for him at the same time. I tried it at midnight mass in the spirit of Christmas and it was a dismal failure. It made me feel that I was hypocritical and making a mockery of the process. I prayed that our precious country might survive him instead.
