JOSH GROBAN PERFORMING O HOLY NIGHT
Okay, I may be somewhat biased that this is the best version. My daughter graduated with Josh from the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. He was a great kid. He is an amazing talent.
Every Christmas mass, this song brings me to tears. Yes, we hear the angels' voices.
It is the most powerful piece of music I know. There is nothing quite like it.
Pretty amazing.
Hey Doug you might enjoy hearing the Christmas CD my four sons’ band put together, the whole CD streams at http://www.aathradio.com. Merry Christmas!!!
I prefer David Phelps’ version:

It starts out a little breathy, but when he hits the power-stride... none better.
William toured with Josh Groban a few years back and Clay Aiken after that. Most of his stuff can be found at http://www.william-joseph.com . He’s my second favorite musician.
What’s even better is Andy’s rendition of Gounod’s Ave Maria. He hits the last note an octive higher and holds it for about 7 or 8 whole notes. Amazing!
I don't listen to Christina Aguilera just for your reasons posted. Early on in her career she seemed to do everything for shock value, which was a turn off.
She has the pipes to really be remembered as a truely great singer, instead she wastes it on crap.
I think her voice is better than Whitney Houstons (another waste of talent)
I think Mark does such a good job for a couple of reasons. 1-he wrote the song. But this isn't just and ordinary song. Its an extremely humble song, a very heart touching song. I think Mark was given a gift of insight when he wrote the song, and he taps into that when he sings it.
2-its such a shift to see a hyper active goofball, do a complete 180, and become quiet and thought provoking, and deliver such a heart touching song.
I agree about Phelps and Penrod w/ him.
I stated earlier my dislike for Phelps and his ego. On the other hand Penrod I think is equally as talented as Phelps, but I never sense the ego about him. In fact anything I've seen of him, he seems to be a very humble person.
Thank you Fishergirl ...yes, isn’t it and Merry Christmas to you too.
Selah’s is a nice version but.... Celtic Woman ... in my opinion is the most incredible O Holy Night I have ever heard... ever!
Yes ther are male fans of Josh Groban. Me for instance. Josh’s voice is as good as I have ever heard. He is fantastic. And not a tenor!
I clearly have touched a nerve. I apologize to all the male Josh Groban fans.
The German that is sung, especially in Classical music, is extremely beautiful. It rivals Italian and beats French.
I used it over Christmas for “Stille Nacht”. Everyone loved it.
