In a surprising rebuke to the warriors who fought for him through tough times, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Sunday sided with President-elect Barack Obama and scolded the Republican National Committee for fanning the Illinois corruption scandal.
On ABCs This Week, host George Stephanopoulos asked: The chairman of the Republican National Committee, Mike Duncan, has been highly critical of the way President- elect Obama has dealt with this.
"He's had a statement every single day, saying that the Obama team should reveal all contacts they've had with Governor [Rod] Blagojevich. He says that Obama's promise of transparency to the American people is now being tested. Do you agree with that?
McCain replied: I think that the Obama campaign should and will give all information necessary. You know, in all due respect to the Republican National Committee and anybody right now, I think we should try to be working constructively together, not only on an issue such as this, but on the economy stimulus package, reforms that are necessary. And so, I don't know all the details of the relationship between President-elect Obama's campaign or his people and the governor of Illinois, but I have some confidence that all the information will come out. It always does, it seems to me.

i agree
Well he is getting up there in age.
If Franken is successful in stealing Minnesota, what is the likelihood McDouche makes it official and becomes a Democrat in order to give his real party the supermajority that he has personally and diligently worked SO hard to give them?
Ebenezer (Bah Humbug) McCain needs to meet Sarah Palin as the “Ghost of Christmas Future,” who shows McCain the following “Nobel Prize” award for being the “best undercover Democrat ever: “John McCain, with “friends” like you, who needs Democrats?”
This man is the living embodiment of the “bring a knife to a gunfight” mentality of the GOP. Stuff like this is why I referred to his “campaign” as a “taxpayer-funded farewell tour.” I was wrong: he isn’t leaving.
Would he scold them if they whacked Sarah?
These guys are servants of the people, yet they act like rulers.
They are to do the will of the people, yet they ignore those who put them where they are.
WE NEED TERM LIMITS IN THE SENATE.
LOL. I knew there would be some good zingers on this thread.
Who cares what McCain is saying? The elections over, so he can stop pretending to be a Republican.
The RINO’s, at every political level, will never, ever end their harmful ways, until the entire GOP is officially dead! Conservatives, at each and every political level, seriously need to successfully form their own political party asap, but, until they successfully do this, they will continue to have many problems as they try to become a political majority again. Tough times are really ahead for “everything conservative” throughout the U.S., and the definitive question is for how long will conservatives remain as a political minority throughout the majority of the U.S.
Hell, he'd probably join them in whacking Sarah.
Or even a proud conservative liberal, strike the conservative.
A pathetic lapdog who cannot stop sucking up to his masters in the msm, no matter how much they attacked him in the campaign.
Term limits is not enough. We need to take away their salaries or make is something very basic, an elected public servant should not be a paid position (and they’re all rich anyway), cancel all the lifelong perks, pensions and medical plans, and quit with the expensive security details (eliminates the wimps). The President, SecState, SecDef need Secret Service protection, it should not be extended to Congress at our expense (they’re free of course to hire their own). Also, repeal the 17th Amendment.
The only things in the “middle of the road” are dead skunks and a yellow stripe....
Every time McCain opens his mouth it angers me that he was the final Republican Candidate. I’m beginning to see why he couldn’t keep his jet in the air during the war. Does this guy even know anything about choosing a side or Fighting back? I really believe that he see’s little to no difference in the two parties in regards to ethics or policies. Does he see something nobody else does? or is he just feeble minded?
First he ran his campaign like he wanted Obama to be elected, and now we hear this anti GOP - Pro Obama dibble?
McCain has a horrible habit of putting his foot in his mouth without knowing it. I’m beginning to think that things have worked out for the best after all.
Aw jeeze, McCain, just shut the bloody hell up already!
So this means that McCain is in FAVOR of corruption?
I don’t see any other way to interpret his remarks.
GET YOUR RINO ASS OUT OF MY PARTY, NOW!
Gee, McCain attacking Republicans....never saw THAT coming....(sarcasm setting: HIGH)
