KHQA has no knowledge that any meeting ever took place.

In addition to the cited scheduled meeting on November 5, a story posted on the net on Saturday, November 08, 2008 at 9:48 p.m. confirms the meeting:

QUINCY, IL — Now that Barack Obama will be moving to the White House, his seat in the U.S. Senate representing Illinois will have to be filled.

Obama met with Governor Rod Blagojevich earlier this week to discuss it. Illinois law states that the governor chooses that replacement. There’s already been speculation about his selection...from Congressman Jesse Jackson, Junior to Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs Director Tammy Duckworth.

[SMOKING GUN]: Director of Illinois Dept. of Veterans' Affairs visits Quincy(Obama - Blago meeting)

What a BUNCH OF WEASELS! I tried to check out the message boards at KHQA and got the following message:

“This forum is in maintenance mode. Currently, only staff members may log in.”

Hussein makes Teflon look like old-school!!!!! This is just totally unbelievable.

It’s in print. Are they going to deny that too?

Does Obamassiah not have a PR person in charge of damage control?

To me, the easier way to handle this from Obama’s perspective was to admit to the meeting with Blags, and deny any conversations regarding the “sale of the Senate Seat”.

If the FBI has conversations on tape from their legal wire following the Governor, surely they would have recorded this conversation with the President-Elect.

Now, by taking this route they are already playing cover-up games, which is TOO LATE AT THIS POINT.

FReepers and other bloggers have screenshots of not one, but two stories on KHQA’s website reporting this meeting between Obama & Blaggo. David Axelrod has had to recant his statement regarding this/these exact meeting(s).

Now they’ve strongarmed KHQA to assist in the coverup.

Hillary & Bill are laughing their @sses off about right now.

Okay, then fire the incompetent who reported it. Somehow I think the reporter would have a case against them if they did, though.

You know...the more and more I read about the dinosaur media(print, hard copy media) and the “new media” and how easy, fast, efficiently things can be made to disappear makes me wonder if the crushing blow to the dinosaur media is such a good thing? Now articles, videos, and even facts can be removed, scrubbed away, taken down and worse still edited on-line.

If we lose print media are we really losing ‘freedom of the press?’ Sure the liberal journalists have really screwed up their papers, sold their souls in some cases to the speed of the news-cycle, and forgone truth & accuracy to be the first to report in competition with the ‘new media.’

Perhaps though some consumers might find it refreshing to return to a ‘fact based newspaper.’ A paper that is a little slower, but ...more accurate, more truthful, and able to print an appropriate retraction if/when needed.

Let's not forget Axelrod saying they had spoken about it. Of course, he “misspoke”.

Who’da ever thought we'd be in a position to have to choose who to believe between Obama, Axelrod and the media. Oh well, they're all on the same page now. That's all that matters.

This is seriously creepy. Chilling, even.

Either Obama and the media are both going to be thoroughly discredited, or the Republic is gone. That may sound like an hysterical statement - I hope it turns out to be one. But I have grave concerns.

I’ll be looking for a new story announcing the firing of the reporter who wrote the original, retracted story, and the managing editor who allowed it to be posted on the station website.

Any time now, I’m sure. Accuracy Uber Alles, after all.

Next to disappear are the Governor’s visitor logs and his scheduling books. Gee, sounds like Obama’s Illinois legislature records (where are they), and Hillary’s knowledge about how the FBI files got into largely non-accessible room in the Clinton White House.

“Records? We don’t have no stinkin’ records.”

ObamieWanTon- “You don’t want to see any records.”
