KHQA TV wishes to offer clarification regarding a story that appeared last month on our website ConnectTristates.com. The story, which discussed the appointment of a replacement for President Elect Obamain the U.S. Senate, became the subject of much discussion on talk radio and on blog sites Wednesday.
The story housed in our website archive was on the morning of November 5, 2008. It suggested that a meeting was scheduled later that day between President Elect Obama and Illinois Governor Blagojevich. KHQA has no knowledge that any meeting ever took place. Governor Blagojevich did appear at a news conference in Chicago on that date.
I can’t believe this!!
They decide 1 month, 5 days later that....um..um the meeting may not have taken place?
Where am I? Russia? China?
this video is now deleted as well but thanks anyway.
Yes, exactly. Also reminds me of that old Twilight Zone with Jim Hutton. You know, where all the newspaper headlines keep changing and astronauts keep vanishing?
Source?
“Once again, there are five phone calls by Blago on November 5 described on the 78-page list of charges filed by Fitzgerald, and nowhere is a meeting between Blago and Obama, or any surrogate of Obama, mentioned.”

Sorry, I can't prove a negative. You, however, are free to disprove it with a positive.
Why is it so important to you to prove the Nov. 5 meeting?
The involvement of Obama, or his surrogates, doesn't hinge on a specific meeting on a specific date. There are plenty of other ways to communicate, and cut-outs to communicate through. Frankly, I'd be surprised if there were an actual physical meeting, or traceable phone conversation, with Blago by anyone directly working for O -- they're too tightly controlled to make that mistake, knowing Blago was under investigation. They're quite a bit smarter than Blago, who is exceedingly dumb.
Then how could you know it? You didn't say that weren't weren't aware of other sources, you insisted that there weren't any. And you've closed your eyes to the additional sources I've posted above.
Why is it so important to you to prove the Nov. 5 meeting?
Backwards. Why is it so important to you to deny the Nov. 5 meeting?
The Blago PR release doesn’t prove anything. There’s no mention of a meeting.
This conversation’s over, since it’s pointless.
As I said originally, it takes a “reasonable” person to conclude those Nov. 5 meeting reports were in error. I don’t believe you fall into that category.
Ciao!
2. The Blago PR release doesnt prove anything. Theres no mention of a meeting.
If there was no call and they didn't meet, how did they communicate? Morse code? Telepathy?
Despicable liars. KHQA should be denied their next FCC license renewal. They reported it straight up that evening, Nov. 5, 2008, on their News At Five. And guess who KHQA reported as first in line for the Senate seat? Senate Candidate 5! Here's the verbatim transcript, you KHQA bastards. Try and deny your own words:
KHQA News At Five
Nov. 5, 2008 | 5-5:30p.m.:"Now that Barack Obama will be moving to the White House, his seat in the US Senate representing Illinois will have to be filled. Obama met with Governor Rod Blagojevich today in Chicago to discuss it. Ilinois law states that the Governor chooses that replacement. There's already been speculation about his selection, from Congressman Jesse Jackson, junior of Chicago's South Side who co-chaired Obama's presidential campaign, to recently-retired State Senate President Emil Jones, to the Governor himself. The Governor expects to make his decision before Christmas. Part of the timing depends on when Obama officially vacates his Senate seat. Barack Obama has chosen Illinois Rep. Rahm Emanuel to be his White House chief of staff -- his first selection for the new Administration."

Right there in Illinois. A local phone call.
Sounds like they had their story.
There's your 'splainin'.
