KHQA TV wishes to offer clarification regarding a story that appeared last month on our website ConnectTristates.com. The story, which discussed the appointment of a replacement for President Elect Obamain the U.S. Senate, became the subject of much discussion on talk radio and on blog sites Wednesday.
The story housed in our website archive was on the morning of November 5, 2008. It suggested that a meeting was scheduled later that day between President Elect Obama and Illinois Governor Blagojevich. KHQA has no knowledge that any meeting ever took place. Governor Blagojevich did appear at a news conference in Chicago on that date.
The shorts are going to have a field day, lol.
Too many phone calls. Your inference is Obama called the TV station. I took your statement to mean Obama called Blago and the station jumped to an incorrect conclusion (that they were to have a face to face meeting).
FR was already very active in the second Clintoon administration. A White House freep was organized around the impeachment and a dinner honoring the House Impeachment Managers was attended by many. I know—I was there. The big difference now is there are more sources (as you mentioned) available to more people. Sorry for the interruption—continue with the discussion...
Excellent!
That’s right. I really don’t trust Fitz very much at this point. I am looking at most of the folks involved in this ‘crime spree’ with suspicion.
It's quite a thing to see it actually happening.

It’s in print. Are they going to deny that too?
Yeah I can’t wait for the press conference where they deny Chicago exsists, and never heard of Illinois either...
For that, or maximum drama. I stopped believing in Santa Claus a long time ago, so niether do I believe in the Fitz.
Does Obamassiah not have a PR person in charge of damage control?
To me, the easier way to handle this from Obama’s perspective was to admit to the meeting with Blags, and deny any conversations regarding the “sale of the Senate Seat”.
If the FBI has conversations on tape from their legal wire following the Governor, surely they would have recorded this conversation with the President-Elect.
Now, by taking this route they are already playing cover-up games, which is TOO LATE AT THIS POINT.
FReepers and other bloggers have screenshots of not one, but two stories on KHQA’s website reporting this meeting between Obama & Blaggo. David Axelrod has had to recant his statement regarding this/these exact meeting(s).
Now they’ve strongarmed KHQA to assist in the coverup.
Hillary & Bill are laughing their @sses off about right now.
you’re good!
Save your copy in paper and then scan.
I emailed them through their contact info on their web page, and let them know how I felt about this.
Tony,
Two separate stories by two different reports, and now they deny there was a source? They should lose their license!!!
BS!
Good to see you, FRiend!
The O’s nervous tic just got a little worse.
There was an error in my comment in the original title; the admin moderator corrected it. Ignore obadiah's post.
You're kidding right? Do you not remember a certain 18 1/2 minute gap on a tape some 25 years ago or the FBI files that mysteriously appeared on a desk in the White House?
Obombanation's the anti-Christ I tell ya. Nothing is going to stop this creature until Christ returns.
“Thats right. I really dont trust Fitz very much at this point.”
I don’t trust him at all... especially if he was in cahoots with Team 0 and Durbin.
I'm glad people saved it. Good Job.
Why did they print it in the first place? Do they regularly make up fake stories out of whole cloth?
Or did it come to be that the story suddenly became inconvenient?
Obama spoke - and now news organizations are running to change their stories that are on the record to comport with Obama’s version of events.
No Surprise, really.
