We would like to take the opportunity to remember our friend, Tony Snow and to send Christmas wishes and prayers to his family and friends.
Please post your messages here.
I wish he were here too.
Mine does too. We are hoping that the chemo and radiation will put it into remission. The X-Rays look good, but he will go for a CAT scan to see if they have shrunk the small cell carcinoma.
He has already lived longer than the doctors initially told him and we are lucky to have him this Christmas. But he is weak.
I will add your uncle to my prayers.
Tony was great. I wish he could have stayed longer. Can anyone help us communicate in the way Tony did?
Dear Snow Family,
It has been 5 months since Tony was called home by his Lord. He has heard the words we all long for- “Well done my good & faithful servant”
There is a void that gnaws at your hearts each and every day. We pray that you are able to find solace in your own personal relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Tony was gifted in the art of putting thoughts into words. His 2007 article in Christianty Today, “Cancer’s Unexpected Blessings” is a “must read” for families that are in the midst of such a battle. We are one such family. Stage 4 Malignant Melanoma...
This quote from that article summarizes the example that Tony set so well-
Through such trials, God bids us to choose: Do we believe, or do we not? Will we be bold enough to love, daring enough to serve, humble enough to submit, and strong enough to acknowledge our limitations? Can we surrender our concern in things that dont matter so that we might devote our remaining days to things that do?
Merry Christmas!
The Knudtzon Family
Thank you so much saveliberty for this thread. What a wonderful idea.
I too think of Tony often, and even dreamed a few months ago that I was listening to him on the radio. What tough time it was waking up:(
I always had a great appreciation for Tony both personally and professionally, and his professional loss has been so evident during this never ending election season. I really do miss Tony so, and the only acquaintance I had with him was through his work! My heart truly goes out to those who knew him personally.
I want his family to know that they continue to be in my prayers, and I will be praying for their comfort especially during Christmas time. Thank you for sharing this special man with us, and in a way enabling us to be part of your extended family. Many thoughts and ever so many prayers are being offered for all of you.
He’s not really gone, just changed venue.
Love to you all!
I am still sad at Tony’s passing.
His is a story of American at its best. He was given some talent and some opportunity. He leveraged both to greatness.
I am late to the Thread as it was buried among many others [How did I get on so many Ping lists?!] but thanx to Primetimedonna, I was alerted to your efforts. Have only been able to read a few so far, but already have seen so many SnowFlake friends from the days of Tony's radio show. I look forward to being able to spend more time on the Thread getting caught up with old friends. Will be back at a later time and after some thought to offer my Snow family wishes.
It is hard to think of Christmas without thinking of snow. And it is also hard to think of snow, without thinking of Tony Snow and the Snow family.
Back atcha soon. Love to all.
Foxy
Thank you, FOX! It’s great to hear from you. :)
A sweet man. A gentleman. He is missed.
To Tony’s Family:
How can mere words express the unique spirit of the man who was known as Tony Snow? There will never be another one like Tony!
Just as we cherish the memory of President Ronald Reagan - we treasure the memory of Tony!
He was unique - He was special and loved by everyone - even by those who did not agree with his political philosphies. Now that is a very unusual gift - to be able to do that!
God bless you, heal you, comfort and encourage you through the thoughts that in Tony’s life - he touched multitudes of people in a positive, loving way!
Adapted from my Poem called:
In His Image Part I
(Insert Tony for the word - me or him)
I am me - not anyone else - only one of a kind
A unique and special person. No other one quite the same!
You thought of me once in a daydream, God.
And you said, “Yes! I like that thought -
I see that it’s good. I’ll call you into being . . .
From the beginning of time you had him in mind
With a definite purpose - And plan.
And hope for his life . . .
To you, he is Your precious creation.
To you, there are no mistakes.
No other person will ever be quite like another
A unique and special person
Created in a moment of time.
Created in Your Image.

Tony was a unique guy. Intelligent, open, fair and always ahead of the competition. What a loss to his family and the rest of us.
All the best to Tony’s family during this difficult time of year, God bless.
God Bless you Tony.
Sadly missing this truly special person. Prayers to the Snow family and may God heal your pain.
Grateful for Tony’s contributions to the Free World.
Peace and Joy!
Christmas Eve bump
Thank you for this thread, save liberty, even tho I’m very late to it. It’s wonderful to see the snowflakes gathered here. Haven’t had a chance to read the whole thread yet but I do hope there are some wonderful photos of our Tony. I’m looking forward to reading all the comments later tonight.
I wear my snowflake earrings very often so I’m reminded every day of this kind and gentle man who made such an extraordinary difference in so many lives. I love wearing them in the summer so people can remark on them and I can say that they are in loving memory of Tony Snow. I have the sparkly ones on tonight for Christmas Eve.
Tony always looked like a cherub. Just listen tonight and maybe you’ll hear him playing his flute. It’s still hard to believe he is really gone. Thank you saveliberty for gathering all the Snowflakes together once again.
May God bless the Tony Snow family.
Thank you, GoldwaterChick!
Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah and blessings for a safe and Happy New Year!
