President-elect Barack Obama is calling for the Illinois governor to resign.

Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs says the president-elect agrees with other prominent politicians in Illinois and elsewhere that "under the current circumstances, it is difficult for the governor to effectively do his job and serve the people of Illinois."

“BHO acting quickly. Wise move.”

LOL..surely you jest!

Blago has been under investigation since 2003, Obama was one of his key advisors in both of Blago’s campaigns in 2002 and 2006. Obama has known Blago was corrupt and under investigation for YEARS..why is he just now asking him to resign? Reminds me of that racist preacher he sat and listened to for 20 years~

BTW..where are Obama Ill. senate records? Perhaps now we know why they ‘disappeared’ and cannot be found. How much money has Obama sent Blago’s way for him to use in his ‘pay for play’ ploys since he was a State Senator from Illinois and then as a US Ill. Senator?

"The strategy of the left is formulating. It's to paint Blagojevich as mentally unhinged. A nut. It's already being spun that anything that Blagojevich said on tape could be part of a fantasy world he had rather than reality."

Did you watch Fox & Friends this morning?

They played a game of Who Said It..Blago or Tony Soprano...ha ha ha it was so funny. Blago quotes could have come from a Sopranos script they are so bad.

Blago ought to hang on as long as William Jefferson, then out of spite, appoint Rezco.

BLAGO'S BLUE FITZMAS
Tune: "Blue Christmas"

I'll have a blue Fitzmas indicted
I'll have to do something to fight it
Allegations they read of the green that I sought
Don't mean a thing, 'cause as yet nobody's bought

And when my blue colleagues disown me
That's when my blue "F" words start flowing
My old pal sees my plight, but he throws me from his bus
So I'll have a blue, blue Fitzmas

I hate this blue Fitzmas disruption
It puts a crimp in my corruption
Senate seat up for sale should bring oodles of cash
But instead I post bail and I break out in a rash

And when my blue colleagues disown me
That's when my blue "F" words start flowing
My old pal sees my plight, but he throws me from his bus
So I'll have a blue, blue, blue Fitzmas

Oh yes, Obama is such a wise, wise man. He's just brilliant. He's wonderful. He's so special. We're so lucky he was sent to us.

Yeah, that’s too bad. I always liked Jim Edgar. Not a true conservative, but still a good person. I’ve heard rumors (with no substantiation at all) he will never run for office again because of potential past corruption problems. Again, I read it on a blog with absolutely nothing to back it up. Just curious.

President-elect Barack Obama is calling for the Illinois governor to resign.

As I’ve said before, Obama is the least prejudiced politicial ever.

White, Black, Brown, Female, Male...
no matter which demographics a former ally fits into...
he will through them under the bus without any hesitation or regret.

“President-elect Barack Obama is calling for the Illinois governor to resign.”

From what I’ve seen of Blago, he will only do that in exchange for a pardon.

No s*&%!. The guy has been a crook and under investigation for a long time but Obama only says he should resign once the nut says something negative about The One.
