Personally I voted for Mitt in the primary.....and would have voted for him if he had won the nomination. Because believe it or not...I thought him better than the other liberal conservative in the race.
But...if you think he's a straight on conservative...then I would like to sell you some land in Picher, OK.
It’s always someone else than Mitt. Mormon haters, crossovers, McCain, radical Taliban like conservatives, haters, spewers, knuckledraggers, Dodge owners. The list goes on.
And there, Mitt. Pure, shining, a light unto man. And, in the words of Moe Shaltz, “A nice head of hair. Vat I wouldn’t do.....”.
If Mitt had stayed and concentrating on turning around Massachusetts, rebuilding even a moderate state GOP, he’d be a hero. But, he didn’t. Politically, he kind of parachutes in, does high energy, lots of busy work, lots of here and there and then he leaves .
And in today’s thread, Mitt’s on Youtube, talking about the New York Times being liberal. Stop. The. Presses. Did you write that down? Oh, MY God, Mitt you are so....I never would....Genious.(Well, actually boring, maybe someone should send him a ten year old Bernie Goldberg book, or a five year old Ann Coulter book on press bias.)

Even if you are a total Mormon, Mitt is just sucking oxygen from better and more deserving Mormons like Jeff Flake.
This kind of tells me that the constant dropping of the Mormon card is a cynical canard.
It’s Mittbottism all the way. Maybe it has to do with some sort of Mormon royalty power struggle or something. Who the heck knows? It isn’t about conservatism. Flake eats Mitt for breakfast.
There is no introspection of The Great Leader at all.

Critics are lumped together and given the basest motives.
If it was just policy, you would think they would pick up the banner for someone else. There must be hundreds Congressmen, even a few Senators, and all the office holders at the state legislatures who are way, way better, longer serving, with a better record than Mitt. But, no. It’s Mitt or nothing.
What’s that tell us?
I don’t think Mitt deserves this from them. He is a moderate and wouldn’t cotton to personality cult fanatics.
I know it bugs the bots something fierce, but the religion issue isn’t a biggie to me (as long as they ain’t a Mohammadan). When I see a candidate, I check first to see their record or qualifications. Most of the time, I usually don’t even know what their particular sect is.
I’m afraid, however, I’m not terribly enamored of Flake, either. He jumped the shark on illegals and broke his word on term limits. Honesty is kind of a big thing for me, too.
I like him better than Mitt.
I was never in favor of just Republicans doing term limits. We lost good people, and the Democrats kept theirs.
For classical reasons, I didn’t used to be for term limits , but now I am.
I’d like to see the illegals out. It just seem our government can not do anything effectively anymore save take in money.

I like a raging case of genital warts more than Slick Willard. I’m torn on term limits, because there are upsides and downsides to it. However, nobody put a gun to Flake’s head to make the promise, but he made it and he needed to keep it. You can’t get a Democrat to make such a promise since they are the government party. In DC, that makes them instantly a lame duck, and they generally only reward people that stay for the long term.
It could be he was their man all along.
I don’t care what the talking heads say, I can make up my own mind.
If he can fool you he can fool them or maybe they rationalized away his general suckitude or choose out of lack of alternative to believe what comes out of his mouth rather than look at his record. And I backed him over McCain. I think I picked one casket over another. I wanted to believe him. But come on. He governed MA poorly and then abandoned the state to Marxists.
He’s just a rich guy who wants to buy himself the Presidency to live out his and his father’s dream. I don’t have a clue what he’d really do in the White House and I suspect he doesn’t care even about the issues, only the goal, he’ll tell people what he thinks they want to hear. Like in the 90’s when he told them what a liberal he was.
Let’s pretend he’s a conservative for the sake of argument. He’s nothing special and a weak candidate, his opposition was McPain and Mike Huckapee, the prick and the hick. He couldn’t even beat them. Huck is a liar as well but more appealing to the masses and a smooth talker, I liked him fine till I learned the facts. Talk is cheap.
Mitt should not run for President again. But watch him do it and smear his primary opponents.
