Seven schoolboys aged as young as 13 who joked as they took turns to rape a 14-year-old girl because she “disrespected” a gang member can be identified today for the first time.
The girl was subjected to an ordeal lasting several hours in stairwells around a housing estate in East London, parts of which were filmed on mobile phones.
O’Neil Denton, known as Hitman by the Kingshold Boys gang, now aged 16, ordered his friends to snatch the girl from the streets of Hackney after she was said to have insulted him. The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was attacked while walking home from school in April last year.
After being disturbed, Denton and some of the group took their victim to another stairwell where she was forced to commit a sex act at knifepoint. The boys rang friends during the attack, and a crowd began to gather, including Weiled Ibrahim, now aged 17, Jayden Ryan, Yusuf Raymond, and Jack Bartle, aged 16, and Alexander Vanderpuije and Cleon Brown, both 15. The final, and worst, assault took place on the ninth floor of another block of flats where the girl was raped repeatedly during a 50-minute ordeal. When she tried to fight back, junior members of the gang kicked her and smashed her head against a wall.
Nicola Merrick, for the prosecution, said: “The victim knew, of course, she was going to be raped again. She could hear Ibrahim and others saying there were other boys who would rape her badly.”
Eventually 15 boys assembled on the stairwell. “The boys threatened her throughout, intimidating her and physically assaulting her. Ibraham slapped her face and pulled her hair whilst another banged her head against the wall and someone threw a bottle of water at her.

Shocking story this, I nearly chocked on my coffee when I read it in The Times.
The vast majority of parents in this country are excellent. But there are some who care less about what their kids are up to and more about how much they are getting of the government each week. And sadly, the number of shoddy parents can only rise here. Just think how these scumbags will behave to their kids when they are parents?! Its terrifying to think.
Worth mentioning that the attack was stopped by a young trainee footballer, who walked up to the scene and calmly grabbed the victim and walked her away. Perish the thought at what would have happened to the girl if he hadn’t been there to man up and do what countless others chose not to.
They should be taken out by vigilantes and shot since there doesn’t seem to be any other justice there.

Well I was going to suggest stabbing but I think they are on the verge of banning kitchen knives too, right? Okay, hang ‘em!! ...after a fair trial.

He was a friend. But when I asked him to help me, he said, ‘No, I’m with my boys now’. I will never forget that.”
The girl escaped only when a 14-year-old boy, a football apprentice, realised what was happening and, ignoring the threats of others, walked her out of the premises. Six of the defendants were arrested within hours, because of CCTV footage, and the rest were in custody within two days. None of the gang, who were of Caribbean, Ethiopian, Moroccan and British descent, showed any remorse during questioning or throughout the six-week trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

Hmmmm ... I’d like to see them get capital punishment or thrown in prison with the big boys who like little boys as subsititues for girls. Let them have it.

This is where I really believe just punishment is castration, plain and simple. Yes, they can have repentant hearts - but minus the plumbing.

I thanked God (that the girl did not get pregnant from the attack) because that meant, fortunately, she would not be forced to make the difficult decision about what to do about it.
In my view, human life begins at conception, pure and simple. There is no point after fertilization where there is only a "mass of tissue" as you put it. It is an unborn human child, and nothing less.
You perhaps mistook my meaning, and I'm sorry if that caused you distress. I meant to convey only that this attack was the sort of case often held up as an example in the arguments about restrictions on abortion. Perhaps you read it some other way.

Not necessarily in this case. Note the reference to the noxious doctrine of 'respect', which is the giveaway. This is Caribbean rap/hiphop culture: and it's this, rather than Islam, which is the dominant influence on underclass street gangs in British cities. Most of these gangs are ethnically heterogeneous and defined by territory, not ethnicity or religion (though sometimes those things coincide).
I hope someone can follow this story and keep us all posted on the outcome. I’m hoping for something severe (such as death) for the perpetrators.
Strangely enough some of those names do sound as if they could be members of a peaceful religion.
