ISLAMABAD (AFP) – A missile strike by a suspected US drone killed at least three militants Friday in a Pakistani tribal district known to be a stronghold of Al-Qaeda and the Taliban, an official said.
“A missile fired by a suspected US drone killed three people outside the town of Mir Ali in Miranshah tribal district,” a senior security official told AFP.
Local officials confirmed the strike and said it targeted the houses of a suspected Taliban militant north of Mir Ali.
Two people were also injured in the attack. Taliban militants immediately surrounded the house and did not allow locals to come near the site, witnesses said.

Sounds like the predator should have hung around for just a bit more and sent in another.
I remember reading an account in the early days of Afghanistan how the warthog pilots with their nightvision would bomb certain areas and once the enemy had been bracketed into a certain area (like taking cover in an old bomb crater they thought was safe) they would send another one to the same location.
Two missiles were fired from the drone aircraft at around 21:15 at a house in Qatira village, some 20 kilometres south of Mira Ali in North Waziristan, killing six people.
Taliban militants have cordoned off the site, which so often indicates that there might be a high value target among the dead.
one report said one missile hit a house and the other hit a field. it would be nice to get some dna.. but as mentioned, that is unlikely.. oh well , just keep popping ‘em when ya find ‘em.
It would be nice to let some specialops in that area but so far Pakistan is saying No.
These poor people. It would be horrible to be a victim of a bomb blast, and then be another victim of the Paki health care system.
These people don’t even get their own bed.
