Is there anything left sacred anymore? Is there anything you bastards won't RickRoll? The Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade is a tradition, dammit. Can we please wake up early on a holiday and enjoy a parade without being eyeraped by an Internet meme?

Yep, I agree. Let a parade be a parade. Why do they have to stop the parade right in front of the NBC cameras every two minutes for Miley Cyrus or some other celebrity to sing a song? The parade should keep moving, and not have production numbers which are not compatible with a parade in the first place.

I bailed out on the T-day parades several years ago.It’s canned production numbers,interviews of goofy New York actors by vapid TV hosts and 88% advertising. It’s basically the Turkey Day Infomercial.Just give me big gassy balloons,marching bands and cute drum majorettes.
I got a chuckle out of being RickRoll’d...but the best part of the parade, IMHO, was the “briefcase brigade”...that was very funny.

I just stopped watching that parade years ago. The canned and staged numbers, and the camera on the anchors as tho they were the reason we tuned in finally got to me.
I would pay to have a network just have a camera on a corner to show who was coming by, and the only announcements were to say who or what we were watching. I want it to be like I was there just watching the parade as it passes by. NOTHING ELSE!!
