FReeper and Maryland Independent Party Chairman Steve Schulin reports on the completion of his mission to legally serve Obama and Biden on behalf of the Keyes California lawsuit which seeks to force the release of Obama's birth certificate:

"It was another beautiful day in Washington, and service attempt #3 was successfully completed. The papers have been served at the offices of Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

One of the fellows at Sen. Biden's office who had seen me Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday was the one I chose to touch with the papers and say "You are served."

At one point in the followup conversation, he said "I hope they're paying you a lot of money." I smiled and told him "I'm a volunteer. This is a labor of love.""

IMO, I don’t think anyone is trying to win.No one seems to be sure who would take the W.H.The point is, if the Constitutional requirements are not met,then B.O. cannot be President.Period.We may get someone worse but the rule of law will be upheld.

Folks should start giving directly to the people who are on the front lines instead of to the now useless political entities that aren’t accomplishing anything for conservatism.

Tell me about it. I got an appeal for donations on email from the RNC the other day, and almost posted it here for a laugh.

In the end, I just deleted it, but thought to myself that, if I'm going to give money to any group, they'll have to do more than just massage my feelings. I want to know that they're actually doing something on our behalf.

Eric, many of us are convinced that Obama is something far worse than just another stupid liberal Democrat. Most of us have listened carefully to the agenda he's laid out, and have pegged him as a crypto-Marxist.

I, for one, take him at his word, and have thus steeled myself to combat and oppose everything he sets out to do in his (probable) term in office.

I know that you've got your finger on the pulse around here, so you know that most of us feel that Obama may indeed represent the onset of a real "apocalypse" in America.

Obama himself has given us every reason to feel this way.

For the record, I’m the Chairman of the last two listed, and our direct expenses to do with this case are very small. We certainly have financial needs, but the legal effort is overwhelmingly volunteer, and as Steve Schulin says, “a labor of love.” ;-)

We have to win the battle for hearts and minds and convince people that conservatism is good for them. Not win on a technicality.

We absolutely must win the hearts and minds of Americans, as you say, but we must also fight to compel our government to respect and adhere to our Constitution, which is what the whole issue of the birth certificate is about.

This issue is not over a mere "technicality". Please. That is Democrat-speak for choosing to adhere to our Founding Principles and Documents.

I think you are right. I read between the lines. I hope you are wrong and he is somewhere near the center. I expect the worst. So does the market.

Again, I will be happy to eat my hat if in fact by some miracle anyone here is right and he is disqualified.

However, there is a 99.9999999% chance that people yapping here will look silly and a .0000000000001% chance that I’ll have to get some mustard and A1 sauce for my hat.
