Mumbai: At least 15 people have been injured in gunfights between two groups in at least three places in Mumbai on Thursday night.
Details are sketchy but it is believed that two gangs fired at each other at outside CST Railway Terminus, Hotel Oberoi and the popular Café Leopold restaurant in Mumbai.
The first shooting took place near the CST police station

on IBN the reporter said that the was a celebration then the fireman were allowed to go into and fight the fire
... and were not interested in ransom or negotiating for hostages. They only cared about distruction, mayhem and media.
Can you imagine what an attack like this would do to a US city ? 3 days of siege and gunfire.

Interesting. Gary Colson just stated this has all the earmarks of Ibrahim Dawood. If, as suspected, he is located in Karachi (why does Pakistan insist on hiding all the terrorism leaders anyway?) and these terrorists came down from Karachi this does make sense.
Supposedly Mumbai has one large terrorist attack monthly ... although not at this level.

Indian newslady said the section of the Taj on fire is the ballroom.

Fire is still raging in teh Taj. The police chief says all terrorists killed in Taj — how many times have we heard this in the past three days?

Why did CNN get the boot this afternoon? I caught the tail end of the newscaster saying they were able to broadcast at the privilege of the Indian Government and could do nothing about having their permit yanked.
Sounded plausible to me as well.
I guess we will have to wait til the smoke clears.
