Mumbai: At least 15 people have been injured in gunfights between two groups in at least three places in Mumbai on Thursday night.
Details are sketchy but it is believed that two gangs fired at each other at outside CST Railway Terminus, Hotel Oberoi and the popular Café Leopold restaurant in Mumbai.
The first shooting took place near the CST police station

New Delhi: The National Security Guard (NSG) and the Marine Commandos early on Friday rescued 40 guests from The Trident Hotel (formerly known as Oberoi), 36 hours after they were taken hostage by terrorists believed to be affiliated to Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT).
A heavy exchange of fire between the security personnel and the terrorists was reported soon after the rescue. One terrorist was reportedly killed in the crossfire.
An NSG official said at least six hostages were feared dead.
“Terrorists don’t want to listen to anything. They are not ready to surrender. They are threatening to kill all the hostages,” he said.
At least 100 persons, including a World Bank official, are still suspected to be trapped inside the hotel.
The Indian commandos are doing their jobs well. The casualties seem from last night

It has to have come from Pakistan. However, the Pakistan GOVERNMENT of Zardari will not be involved — it would be suicidal. The Pakistani ISI, on the other hand..... plus also the Pakis do not have control of their own lands
The story they tell here is that pasta was imported by Marco Polo feom China (Lo Mein). Tomato sauce is from the Americas though.

With this many terrorists, that 125 number seems kinda low, but if it stays low, the Indian government did a remarkable job. We will see if these new reporter rumors or murmurs turn out to be true concerning the Oberoi.
I think you are right. What makes it so confusing is that Oberoi and Trident are owned by the same company - apparently called Oberoi. But in the list it said Oberoi Trident which ought to be the hotel we’ve called Trident.

According to highly reliable intelligence sources, two boatfuls of weapons and some 18-20 terrorists most likely came from Karachi in Pakistan. Intelligence agencies are zeroing in on the Lashkar-e-Tayiba as the agency behind the terror attacks.
The initial interrogation of terrorists captured in Mumbai has yielded some basic information. According to sources, for some time the directions kept coming “live” to the terrorists in Mumbai via satellite phones.
The intelligence sources said information is coming out quite rapidly because some six terrorists, who are in the custody of the Mumbai police, are under interrogation right now. He said the entire operation was led by Pakistani operators of the LeT but he doesn’t rule out the involvement of some local youngsters in it.
“They are successful and we have failed,” said the police officer with the agency. He said these attacks show that “the terrorists want to show that India is an unsafe place to do business in. The way they have focused on foreigners, they want to make Mumbai unattractive for foreign nationals.”
