Monday, November 24 An open letter to Sarah Palin: Dear Governor — For the first time in eight years I feel a mixture of joy and anger in my heart.
Ms. Palin, I was angered by your inciting of violence at your rallies. It was appalling to hear cries of "traitor", "kill him", "terrorist" and the angry shouting of one man looking at the camera as he went into one of your rallies "Kill another baby, you bastard". And yet you said nothing to quell outcries. John McCain said he was 'proud' of the people who attended your rallies. This is the same John McCain I once respected and might have considered voting for in 2000.
And so, after eight years of an Administration that I have never been proud of, I feel joy and still can't believe that we have finally done the right thing and elected a person, whom, I feel, is highly intelligent and will pick responsible persons for his Cabinet and Administration. He will not be perfect — no president ever is, but I have faith in his ability and sense of what the country needs now and has needed for the last eight years.
As for Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, you can shake hands with them — they do the same things on their radio shows as you did in your rallies.
Limbaugh spews hatred and vitriole almost every time he speaks. He lumps all Liberals together. We are just as different from one another as are the Conservatives. He won't bother me anymore, although I understand he is already at it again, criticizing President-Elect Obama. I feel that those who listen to him and agree with him probably never watch television shows in which there are opposing views offered. I think the format all of us should watch is a panel of Liberals and Conservatives discussing the issues and giving individual points of view. There are news shows on television that offer this format.
Governor Palin, I hope that you will become educated in government, geography and national policies before you consider running for office again. You could do so much good with your ability to speak directly to people, or you could become a conservative talk-show host, spreading hatred and intolerance to those who want to believe everything they hear without investigating the truth. I hope you will change your message to one of bringing people together, which is what Barack Obama did for our country.
There was concern that people who said they would vote for Obama would actually vote for McCain, thus mislead the polls. In reality, it appears that many who said they would vote for McCain voted for Obama. It was time to end the division of races and vote for one who wants the United States to once again be respected around the world.
These partisans are blind to truth, and have swallowed the lies from the Obama team and their auxilliary organization - the media.

I'm looking forward to their dismay when reality bitch-slaps them upside the head. Had Bush offered the same cliches that Obama spoke yesterday, the media would have called him on it.
I've moved on to a large degree. I used the election results as a teaching moment for the 6th graders I teach at my parish: focus your energies on your faith, family, friends, and community, and your life will be richer and more enjoyable. Quit wasting your emotional well being on whether or not your guy/gal won the last election.

The left would have a collective aneurysm if there were thousands of General Franco shirts and flags at the next Republican convention, but having Che everything at the Democratic convention, rallies and campaign offices just shows how "progressive" they are.
Only liberals are allowed to spew hate, and say horrible things about their political enemies. A conservative can’t even tell the truth without liberals whining and lying to make it sound worse than it was. All liberals are lying liberals. It’s part of the disease.

Oh, Connie, drama queen that you are. Funny how you are parroting exactly the same “shouts” that were claimed by CNN and later denied by the Secret Service. You may have fantasized about hearing those words, but you know in your heart it never happened. Nothing Gov. Palin said “inciting” anyone to do anything. If incitement is your issue, how about 8 years of every word under the sun thrown at our current president? How about the offensive t-shirts about Gov. Palin that showed up at Obama rallies?
Go celebrate your victory, Connie, and you’d better thicken up your skin. It’s time for your people to play defense for a while.

For a minute there, I thought they were talking about an anti prop 8 rally.
Of course, the difference is gay activists really say such things and Palin ralliers don’t...

I’m from Pittsfield,Ma. The home of the Berkshire Eagle,it’s a vile liberal rag!I moved,ran from that state.
My mother’s side of the family is from MA from “way back”.
She married a Navy man, got out that awful place and had a nice life in Virginia and then Florida (she passed away last year).
Unfortunately, the rest of her family are still in MA. The differences between them as PEOPLE (their vivacity, their happiness, their reasoning abilities... just EVERYTHING) are stark, and even SAD (for the ones who remained in MA). They are such close-minded people.
Libs show no anger over the killing of the innocent, but only over the person who points out it out.

Lying lib, what else is new? The shouts in question were “TELL HIM”, but that doesn’t rile up your base enough.
