Early Voting in Presidential Elections Should Be Made Illegal

Early voting in Presidential elections should be made illegal because it is against the Constitution that specifies one day to be Pesidential elections day which is the first Tuesday after the first Monday of November.
I strongly believe that one of the most important factors if not the most important factor that we lost this elections is due to early voting. It is a certain way for cheating and fraud.
Most of the battleground states were lost because of the early voting. The democrats amassed the necessary votes in the early voting to win. That is how they won Ohio, North Carolina, Florida, Nevada, and Virginia. Without the early voting I am confident that they would have lost.
The Republicans who control state legislatures should make it illegal to have early voting in their states. Also our side should go the courts and make this fraud process called early elections totally illegal on the national level.

“I strongly believe you are totally incorrect. The Republicans lost because the candidate was unappealing and did not believe in and could not sell smaller less intrusive government to the average voter.”
I'm with you on this, also. Early voting is a two way street. It's not like only the Dems had the opportunity.

Agreed. Early voting (and vote-by-mail) are allowing the Democrats to win through fraud.

"Are you happy now that Obama is elected?" No, but that's not the issue, at least not for me. I took advantage of early voting twice for Bush and again this year. It just worked out better for me and my family. My wife, by the way voted on election day. Having said that it would be hypocritical of me to now say early voting is unconstitutional when I didn't complain about it when I voted early and my guy won.

Once it was allowed due to travel, scheduled medical reasons or some other bona fide reason. Now it's serendipity. Good rules of the past ought not be supplanted by new, especially for the purpose of voter fraud.
Note how the Dems always want to deny the overseas military vote, Joe. Doesn't matter if the troops are denied by lack of postmark or a deficit in ballots sent out.
Skip the 'Count every vote' when the targeted group has a history of voting conservative.

That would be very wise of the E Gov.’s. And while we are at it, how about a national election requirement for voter photo ID. No photo ID, no vote. If it is done now, that will give them 2 years to get an ID if they have none. It may be a state issue for state elections, not sure bout that, but, surely we should have this as election law for national level elections!

The Constitution clearly and specifically states that the election will be held on ONE day in all states... the same day.
The Constitution also says that only a natural born citizen of the United States (meaning born on U.S. soil) shall be eligible to serve as President of the United States, and we can see how serious the courts are taking THAT pending legal issue.
Regardless, I agree wholeheartedly: if the Constitution says that Election Day shall be ONE day, than one day it is.
Too bad we won't have to worry about free elections anymore, now that Comrade 0bama and his Communist politburo are in charge.

Both of you are right. I did more search and in the Constitution there is no first Tuesday after the first Monday to be election day. This become the official elections day in 1845.
However both of you are right to point out that the elections of the President should he held on the same single day throughout the United States.

However what this had to do with the link that you posted "fawnin McCainiac" that leads to the translation of terrorist Zawahiri speech on November 19 2008?When you calm down from this latest vanity tantrum, you'll see that it's a link to all your threads, most of them vanities.
And as for my being happy, I voted for Palin, and unfortunately the vote also went to that Democrat baggage chained to her ankle. I voted early, too. Saved myself over an hour and a half of waiting in line behind the drooling cretins that had no idea what they were doing, even though the sample ballot had been available for weeks.
So is that a satisfactory answer for you, McCainiac? You're advocating going against those who (in my case with much gnashing of teeth) voted for your sorry assed Democratic candidate.

Totally agree.
If you can’t plan around one tuesday out of the year, you probably aren’t smart enough to vote anyway...

I believe the U.S. Code sets the date as required by the U.S. Constitution.
3 USC 1 - Sec. 1:The electors of President and Vice President shall be appointed, in each State, on the Tuesday next after the first Monday in November, in every fourth year succeeding every election of a President and Vice President.

I was on board the moment I first heard about the early voting idea. I knew it was a fraud from the beginning. My blood boils when I think about it.

Does that mean that military ballots that have to be mailed don’t count?

Obama and the democrats knew that they have accumulated enough votes to win the battleground states after the first week of this fraud called early voting.

Okay, you think we should give two sh*ts how we "look" to the Democrats.
I think the Republicans should concentrate on nominating small government conservatives that can sell the message rather than whining about early voting.

voting, dead people and multiple voting, cheating on recounts, federal funding of corrupt community organizers...
our elections have become a mockery right brfore our very eyes.
I agree and we got a real loser for president. He was about the worst the rats could find.

another item that needs attention..regarding VOTING
residents of nursing homes...for them to vote they should have doctor approval to their mental capabilities..
I worked nursing homes for 20 years and I would just get so steamed when I saw individuals coach residents on how to vote...this should not be...there are some residents who can still make a decision but the majority can not...
