Early voting in Presidential elections should be made illegal because it is against the Constitution that specifies one day to be Pesidential elections day which is the first Tuesday after the first Monday of November.
I strongly believe that one of the most important factors if not the most important factor that we lost this elections is due to early voting. It is a certain way for cheating and fraud.
Most of the battleground states were lost because of the early voting. The democrats amassed the necessary votes in the early voting to win. That is how they won Ohio, North Carolina, Florida, Nevada, and Virginia. Without the early voting I am confident that they would have lost.
The Republicans who control state legislatures should make it illegal to have early voting in their states. Also our side should go the courts and make this fraud process called early elections totally illegal on the national level.
Early voting is another form of absentee voting when it comes down to it. I think you would lose the Constitutional Argument. I prefer early voting to absentee so I'm free to work on election day. I'd rather have my vote count than sit in a pile of absentee votes waiting to be challenged on some stupid technicality like a poll worker with wet hands smudged the signature or something. Comparing early voting to absentee voting, there is LESS of a chance for fraud since someone has to actually show up with an id.
People who travel for work should be included in the absentee voting.
I can vote absentee because I’m too lazy to wander to the polling place. I don’t but I shouldn’t be able to.
Obama won Ohio by 200,000 votes. He probably had at least twice this margin from the early voting ballots. The same happened in most other battleground states.
No doubt.
You’ve got that right! Early voting used to be using the absentee ballot, and only our military and Americans overseas who would not be in the country on election day were meant to use this courtesy. Now it’s weeks and weeks of dragging out the coke addicts, the lazy bums and having ample time to bring out your dead family members! It’s insane. The ‘rats are destroying the United States. Good grief, they’re worse than an infection.
Just looking at the trash hauled in by the ACORN and "social justice" organizations buses showed the fraud being perpetrated.
It is insane indeed. As you said absentee ballots should only be allowed for our military serving overseas. If civilians are traveling on elections day then tough luck.
I agree with every one of your points. I think the system is totally screwed the way we have messed with it.
Ping!
Yes, it’s a shame too many Republicans in power are too stupid to have figured this out BEFORE the election and contested it.
I also disagree with the Motor Voter deal. If you are too lazy to go to an application to vote, you don’t need to vote. I remember proudly marching to the courthouse on my 18th birthday to register to vote. It was a proud day for me. Now it’s an afterthought after figuring out if you should smile or not in your Driver’s license photo.
Of course that would go against the seemingly natural instinct of rolling over and exposing the belly to any Democrat in the area.
Odd how the “hawks” are so wimpy when it comes to worrying about public perception.
Using the 1980 election as an example is out dated.
It is a different world today especially with the internet, 24/7 cable news, etc. Not counting MSM and educational system grinding out liberals for years and now unchallenged.
I live in a large city and get a better overview, there is an election day and people need to vote at that time.
Having worked as a civilian contractor for the DoD I can tell you that there are thousands of patriotic men and women who travel worlwide in support of different weapons programs. It would seem unpatriotic to deny them the right to vote if their duties required them to be out of state. Were you against early voting when Bush won twice?
I agree. Though it was convenient, it always seemed obvious that it was open to fraud, but also any last minute revelations didn’t matter, because so many had already voted. Election DAY, plain and imple.
There can be more that one reason why the Republicans lost.
There should be no early voting.
Should absentee ballots be eliminated, in that case?
