A 19-year-old Florida man committed suicide live on a Web cam, encouraged by those who were watching, according to reports.
Abraham K Biggs, of Broward County, took an overdose of pills while broadcasting himself on Justin.tv, a live video streaming Web site.
Biggs used the Web site to stream footage from his bedroom and told users he would be committing suicide and invited them to watch live.

Inspired by the movie Untraceable I bet.
Awesome, I blame Al Gore
Just horrifying. Where was his family??? His parents??? I didn’t read this and don’t want to, but did this happen while he was at college?
This is one of those “pull the covers over your head” stories.
What was he protesting? Prop 8? Global Warming? Or did he have a bad ARM?
Holy Saints preserve us! It seems like there is an inordinate amount of sociopathic, suicidal/homicidal folks living in Flordia!
And none of his friends called 911 to inform them their friend was committing suicide? Wow, what a nice bunch of friends this guy had. No wonder he was depressed!
And you got your three posts spanning eleven seconds.
Having lost a brother to suicide, I feel for this boy’s family. And I hope those stupid people watching never forget the image of watching someone die. And I don’t mean in a good way of never forgetting.
I don’t know who is sicker, the person committing the suicide or those watching. What a pathetic show of complete depravity.

The friends get “Honorable Mention”
Seriously, what friend would stand by and watch
while someone you care about suicides?
I see stupid people!..................
Reality tv is turning people in to soulless zombies..thanks Viacom!
how sad! And how depraved our world is that there are people who would watch and encourage rather than try to discourage him. I think we are Rome again and we have our coliseums on our tv’s and computers...definitely we’re on that slippery slope that leads downhill to Hell.
God help that young man’s family to cope with this horrible loss. Suicide’s victims are not just those who take their lives, but those who know them and feel guilty at not being able to stop them or see the warning signs.
And, look for more desperate people to seek suicide as their solution to escape financial burdens and hopelessness as economic times get tougher and we get closer to the holidays, which are always bad times for those who are already depressed.
God help us to get thru this tough time!
It’s too bad that people who commit suicide cannot come back and gaze upon all the misery and pain they’ve caused their friends and family by their selfish act.
